Alexander Deubl’s practice is rooted in the tradition of geometric abstraction.His works can be associated in particular with Op Art, kinetic art, andConcrete Art—movements in which optical phenomena, spatial perception,and visual illusion play a central role.Deubl frequently works with glass and mirrors, materials that allow him toinvestigate the interplay of light, reflection, movement, and space. Although many of his works are produced by the artist himself through elaborate and technically demanding processes, he does not define himself primarily as a glass artist. Rather, he understands glass and mirror as preferred media through which he can explore the perception of space and the behavior of light.This approach becomes especially visible in his site-specific and public artprojects. For each architectural or spatial context, Deubl develops a newconcept tailored to the particular location. These works may differ significantly from the familiar visual language of his studio practice, yet they remain connected by a central concern: the exploration of space through light.Over the past decade, Alexander Deubl has developed a broad and diversebody of work. His practice ranges from simple analogue lamella installationsto complex digital LED light objects and even ice sculptures. Lichtobjekt - I AM YOUR PRIVATE DANCERMaße: 90 x 90 x 90 CMYEAR: 2023Seit mehr als 10 Jahren Arbeite und entwickle ich nun meine Lichtobjekte und blicke auf eine spannende Zeit mit unterschiedlichen Projekten in den unterschiedlichsten Formaten zurück. Hier sind Projekte von Kleinstgrößen von 15 x 60 CM bis hin zu 420 x 220 CM Größe entstanden. Wir geleiten Sie»QUERFELDEIN«, um ausgetretene Pfade zu verlassen und die neu entwickelten Arbeiten von Gestalterinnen und Gestaltern aus der Region frisch zu erkunden.Dabei stellen wir Ihnen die Vielfalt unterschiedlicher Arbeitsansätze und spezialisierter Techniken in Fülle vor.Das Spektrum ist breit und reicht von großen künstlerischen Glasarbeiten, die entweder eher poetisch oder klar konstruiert mit optischen Effekten und Spiegelwir-kungen beeindrucken, bis hin zu praktisch-funktionaler Keramik, die ganz unterschiedlich gestaltet ist. Hier kontrastiert das Weiß des Porzellans mit der intensiven Farbigkeit der Glasur, dort überraschen humorvolle Ritzzeichnungen. Andere Positionen überzeugen mit zartem Porzellan und einer fein ausgewogenen Komposition der Einzelteile.
