I wanted to make a video about this, but figured I’d address it here: As I’ve gotten more followers on here (so fun!) posting self-portraits and fun family things, I’ve recently started getting some not-so-nice messages from strangers. I’ve never had that happen before! I usually get beautiful messages about how me just being visible is motivational, inspiring, etc. which is so special to little old me. I will forever just be the little girl from the swamp. That being said, when it comes to comments about my body, I think transparency is super cool, so I made a list to address some stuff: * Ya I edit my photos, DUH. I love photography, including post-production * My body is a running project. As a surgeon, my community is constantly learning and trying new things in the field of cosmetics, and what might be scary for the general populous is just arts and crafts for us * Those that have been with me for a while have seen the journey. We started from a very different place, as seen in the second pic lol * I’ve had at least 14 facial surgical procedures, and do regular toxin, filler, microneedling, etc. * I have 455cc high-profile under the muscle breast implants * I’ve had my bottom 6 ribs bilaterally surgically fractured and repositioned inward, then wore a corset as a cast 24/7 afterwards for months as the ribs healed in their new position to recreate a smaller waist. And I still wear the absolute torture device that is Skims shapewear to get the 23” waist you see * I’ve had a decent amount of HA body filler over my lateral pelvis to accentuate shape * I often wear God-awful heels despite being 6’ to make my giant feet look smaller * I wear a hefty amount of 30” hair extensions, lashes, makeup etc. We get one life, live it how you want. I’ll always be a safe space to accept you as you are and talk if you want, whether I know you or not; I love when I get those kinds of messages. I love making new friends! I haven’t seen my best friend in over two years. She’s a busy surgical fellow back at Pitt working crazy hours, and my life is an active dumpster fire (she said lovingly), so time has escaped us. So happy to reunite with this woman who has become my sister. I have watched her go from a grumpy intern to a powerful breast cancer surgeon. Les has been there for me through every breakdown, no matter how silly, even as she was a chief resident running a busy service. There are a lot of times I don’t know what I would’ve done without her snapping me back to reality. I hope I can always do the same for her as she continues to work in the trenches of her fellowship. She then starts her dream job in less than a year back home exactly where she wants to be. I am so proud of her. And before the messages start rolling in, yes boys, this is a single, young, hot, blonde, kind, loving surgeon. New Mexico is famous for its purple sunsets, which occur for a few reasons: The high elevation allows sunlight to geometrically illuminate high-level clouds long after the local sunset. The clouds trap and reflect the reddish light of the sun, which contrasts with the substantial scattered blue and violet of the clear upper atmosphere. This combination causes your eyes to perceive a distinct pink or purple. The aerosols and dust in the Southwest also help to reflect the color and saturate the sky more deeply against the desert.
