A real privilege to be a part of such an important day.
25 years ago, a day I don’t think I’ll ever forget, but BGC / Cantor Fitzgerald lost 90% of their workforce in 9/11. The most of any company. 658 people, and london was live trading with them on the phone at the time. Unfathomable.
Ever since, now Co CEO Sean Windeatt was tasked with regrowing the company and the annual charity day was a huge part of that, and it takes place over all the trading cities.
Initially I was just very very happy to look after Dame Helen Mirren (!!!) and my step dads favourite footballer Jamie Carragher, Tom Hardy, Fatboy Slim et al, but very very quickly understood the gravitas of the day, despite how jovial the building was.
The day has raised over 200m for various charities over the last 20 years, and for some charities, it changes their whole trajectory of the year. Really proud to be a part of it. Thank you as always @loopvip for the trust! 💘✨

August had no right to be the best month of my life to then go into shit weather. England>France>Monaco>Italy>England>Amsterdam>USA>England>Ireland>England. Yes Amsterdam counts despite it being a layover.
Despite being heavily medicated sometimes I do get the sads but this month has reminded me how loved me and mine are and how much I love my friends and family.

I have so much to thank @francis_otoole and @fjotoole. For one, in one of my (many) but quite desperate and low points (again-many) I needed to move out the home I had held alone for years and into @sidequeststephanie. I had one day, and I didn’t have a van. Within half an hour of my online plea, we had a van, and that van came with my now platonic soul mate best friend @a.mac.n.cheese. Fast forward some years down the line, I had arranged a birthday dinner. Unfortunately my birthdays the 27th Jan. Before the first payday of the year, everyone’s ill, and all the others are sober. I ended up having dinner at my most favourite place, zedels with @katie.c.allen, Alg and someone I was dating that we all affectionately labelled ‘shit Will.’ Now, nearly two years later, that one plea saved my Francis, has spawned yet another love story, and like his and Femke’s, one for the ages. (Please don’t break up otherwise I’ll have to edit this caption and it’s long enough already.)
Just a couple of weeks ago, as a surprise for my daughters 13th birthday, F&F hired a boat to take her out in France, something she’s always dreamt of doing, the year before they got her possible the coolest limited edition Nike TN’s that she won’t let me borrow despite being my size and now too big for her.
A running theme throughout the weekend, was just how Generous, compassionate and loved they both are. A partnership I could only dream of (a nightmare for the other person I’m sure.)
