Since I was a kid, I’ve wanted to explore the world 🌎 by discovering different cultures and peoples through the lens of their food. This has inspired me to create travel itineraries all around the world of the places I want to go during my lifetime, and what better way to explore than by bike 🚴Since opening up this idea to the world, I’ve had people from far and wide reach out, interested in joining these trips. If you want to join, hit the link in my bio. I’d love to know where you come from and what trips sound most interesting to you. Next trip: Fall 2026 🍂 by @alexblosil

***Interested in bike packing with me in the fall? Hit the link in my bio!***Unbeknownst to me, biking 🚴 across Sweden 🇸🇪 , eating incredible food 🍲 , waking up to the smell of pastries 🥮 in the morning and staying in the cutest bed and breakfasts 🏡, is more popular than I imagined. I only have 3 spots open for this trip and would love to fill them by Monday so I can lock 🔑 in the reservations. If I could add more spots, I would, but I’d love to keep this first trip smaller and more intimate to feel out how things go. If you’re even considering coming or may know somebody who would like to join, dm me or comment below and I’d love to send you all the details and the itinerary. See you in Sweden! by @alexblosil

This week’s Bella’s Bites recipe: @alexblosil Warm Tomato Salad with Brown Butter Soy Vinaigrette. This dish, although less of an actual salad, is nothing short of delicious. The sensation of popping each individually-peeled tomato in your mouth with the nutty and savory brown butter soy vinaigrette is nothing short of mind blowing. The step of removing the skins of the tomato is completely optional, but I find that small little detail makes a world of difference when it comes to texture and flavor. Ingredients 30 cherry tomatoes2-3 tbsp warm brown butter1-2 tsp soy sauce2 tsp red wine vinegar1 tsp honey1 tbsp parsley, finely chopped1 lemon, zested1 tsp chili flakes (Aleppo or gochugaru)½ cup panko bread crumbs2 anchovy filets, finely sliced1 garlic clove, smashed4 tbsp frying oil2 tbsp capersSalt and pepper for seasoning MethodHeat your oven to 170 F or on the “Keep Warm” mode. To peel your tomatoes, place them in a wire mesh strainer and place over a flame, shaking them to get them burned all over, about 15-20 seconds. This will help remove the skin. Place them in a bowl with plastic wrap over the top to help the steam release the skin. Place on your serving dish with your tomatoes in the warm oven. Heat your frying oil to about 325 F and fry your capers until crispy, about 1-2 minutes. Drain on a paper towel. In a saute pan over medium high heat, add some of the frying oil of the capers and add in your smashed garlic clove and anchovy. Saute until the anchovy has broken down in the oil. Add in your breadcrumbs and continue to cook until the breadcrumbs are golden brown and crispy. Finish with some lemon zest. To make your vinaigrette, mix your warm brown butter, honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and lemon zest and taste for seasoning. I find doing this in a warm bowl helps so the brown butter doesn’t solidify. Add in your parsley.Spoon your vinaigrette over your warm tomatoes and finish with your bread crumbs and fried capers. #shopbellasmarket #bellasbites #utahcity by @alexblosil

Pissaladière is possibly one of the most salivatingly savory dishes on the planet and it’s basically comprised of 3 simple ingredients: onions, olive oil and anchovies. I’ve been lucky enough to have tried some very special versions of this simple dish. First time at @terroirsdavenir at their lovely bakery on Rue du Nil, then I was lucky enough to get a rest at @maximepradie new restaurant @zimmisnyc in the WV. Lastly, at the one and only restaurant iconique.. @lamerendanice. Here was my attempt at bringing la cuisine niçoise chez moi <3 by @alexblosil

This week’s Bella’s Bites recipe: @alexblosil Sourdough Pan Cake with Honey Butter Maple Syrup A normal pancake is one word. This version, is very much more a Pan Cake. Shallow fried in ghee and then baked in an oven until It’s fluffy, slightly crispy on the outside, aromatic, salty, sweet and with the syrup all absorbed in, there is nothing like it. Find this recipe below and for our full catalog of recipes in the link in our bio!Pancake255g sourdough starter 175g flour 1ish tsp baking soda 2 eggs 155g plain yogurt 50g oil 1 tbsp vanilla bean paste1 lemon, zested 1 tbsp honey 1/2 tsp kosher salt 2-3 tbsp ghee Syrup 1/2 c butter 1/2 c honey 3 tbsp maple syrup 3 tsp soy sauce 1/2 tsp sea salt MethodTo make your syrup, add your butter, honey and maple syrup to pan and cook until melted and well mixed. Finish with your soy sauce and salt. In a mixing bowl, add your sourdough starter, yogurt, eggs, vanilla, avocado oil, lemon zest and honey and mix until thoroughly combined. Sift the flour and baking soda and add to your wet mix. Combine well until no clumps, but don’t overtax. In an oven safe heavy-bottomed carbon steel or ply-stainless steel pan, bring to medium high heat and add in your ghee. Add in your batter and cook until golden brown around the edges and bubbles popping on the top. In a preheated oven set to 350 F, bake for 15-18 minutes, or until cooked through all the way to the center. Turn out onto a cooling rack.Bring to your plate and pour over your syrup and enjoy! #shopbellasmarket #utahcity #bellasbites by @alexblosil
