Board Game Nerd - I love making games, puzzles and music!. Making thinky print-at-home games as @microdotgames here:

Took Rolling Lap to Playtest UK Brighton last night, and it went down really well!

It's designed to be Mario Kart with dice, with obstacles and power-ups packed inside my very handy Panda Games prototype box.

One of the testers said they loved it, and wanted to have a prototype play it with their family... So I think they liked it? 🤔

Need to do a rules write-up and then this one is off to publishers.

Cooking up a new game, a cube-powered dungeon crawler: Blockhead Adventures.

In this encounter you have to dodge and duck behind the temple columns to evade volleys of arrows, and quickly grab the golden idol to escape with your lives.

Over the course of 5 encounters you will grow in power, collecting new abilities and magic items to ensure you can take on the big bad.

Picked up this gorgeous game from @kevmakesgames at #ukgamesexpo

I love a game you can take and play anywhere, and if my first play is anything to go by this is going to be a brain-burner that stays in my bag for a long time. by @alexcannonaqua

It's been.. (How many years ?) four, five years, and I swear, we didn't hire on specs—we hired on skill. Yet, somehow, the longer you stay on the team, the higher your prescription goes. 😂 Jk
I was the last holdout, but I finally got the memo. We're all wearing glasses now. It's basically the team uniform.

Time for us all to recover from whatever con-flu is currently making the rounds.
See you all on Monday—hopefully with a voice!

What phrase can you say at UKGamesExpo and UKGameSexpo? 🫢

I'll start:

"They don't find anything under 20 minutes that satisfying"

"I consider myself a harcore player 😉"

"Before I introduce something new to the group I like to try it alone."

Hello from AireCon! I'm leaving the world of microgames behind me today as we go to the *far extreme* of the scale. A full day of gaming ahead, wish me luck!

After a week at the Sewing Machines I was finally done with my fiancé's suit. Blue linen jacket, grey Italian wool trousers and a white linen shirt with wooden buttons stitched on my hand. Nearly 100 hours was put into this project and I was so happy with how it turned out.

He looked amazing in the suit and I can't wait to get started on the next outfit for him.
