Boxing scene in One Headlight!

@alfiesaunderss and I tried to recreate the aesthetic of Martin Scorsese’s Raging Bull for the final scene of the music video, subverting it in narrative expectations.

Had a blast directing and editing ‘One Headlight’ by @mainard.larkin 🎥

The video is now live on @lilchiefrecords or find the link in my bio!

I wanted to create more of a film than a music video, aiming to demonstrate how expectations and fears can build up to an anticipated moment such as a boxing fight. And sometimes the best thing to do is go on a road trip out into the New Zealand country side and clear your head.

This project was a really cool learning experience and I’m stocked with how it came out especially with the horse shots that luckily came by on the beach

@alfiesaunderss for the beautiful cinematography

Watch it and lmk what you think 🫶
