This photograph presents three objects arranged vertically in a single stack. At the base lies a Muji notebook used as a diary for recording reflections on the application of Rudolf Steiner’s concept of conclusion, understood as a process situated within the limbic dimension of the physical organism, to questions of identity. Above the notebook is a cup of tea with milk, and placed on top of the cup is a biscuit intended for dunking. Together, these three items constitute a morning triad of writing, tea drinking, and biscuit dunking, unified into a single compositional gesture.

The circular form of the cup’s rim, with its ochre‑coloured tea, visually corresponds to the similarly coloured but irregularly shaped biscuit, both of which stand in contrast to the rectangular geometry of the notebook’s page. by @alexeyulko
