On Monday 5th October, 11 Go Forward students had the fantastic opportunity to experience padel at @racketeer.club in Park Royal, thanks to the @proampadeltour .
For many of our students, this was their first introduction to padel, with some having never even heard of the sport before! The students were guided by fantastic padel professionals who coached them through the rules, techniques and skills of the game. They had an amazing time putting their new skills into practice, competing against one another, Saracens Foundation staff and familiar faces, including Saracens rugby star @alexgoode0 !
Our Go Forward Peer Mentors also played a brilliant role throughout the day, demonstrating leadership, teamwork and encouragement while acting as positive role models for our younger students.
It was a fantastic opportunity for our young people to try something completely new, build confidence, develop valuable skills and, most importantly, have fun!
"I'd never even heard of padel before, but it was so much fun! I loved playing against everyone, especially the staff and Alex. I'd definitely do it again!" – Go Forward Student
A huge thank you to the @proampadeltour for providing our students with such a memorable experience!

2026, let’s do this 💥

Next week, our first two captains go toe-to-toe as Prem Rugby champion @alexgoode0 faces up against Premier League champion @dannysimpson

The winning captain and their team will progress to the Grand Final later in the year and fight to claim the Captain’s Fund. Last year, Team Joleon Lescott claimed victory and £11,500 for the Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Charity.

This time out, Team Goode represent @hambofoundation with Team Simpson playing for @manchester_mind

Now just to know who’s in their teams 👀

See you in Manchester next week 👋 by @alexgoode0
