Another show bites the dust. ⚡️🇲🇨

Every year, the anticipation builds as the Monaco Yacht Show approaches. It signals a change in season, a shift in energy, and a few intense days where the entire yachting world comes together.

Captains, crew, designers, builders, brokers, suppliers, entrepreneurs, dreamers. All walks of life, all corners of the industry, gathered in one place.

Everyone on their own mission. Everyone navigating their own challenges. And at the end of the day, we’re all just doing the best we can with what we have.

That’s something I’ve come to appreciate more and more.

For me, Monaco has never just been about the yachts. It’s about the people. The conversations you didn’t expect, the relationships you strengthen, the doors that open, and the new perspectives you carry home.

This year was no different.

It was intense, exhausting, exciting, and everything in between. Some things went to plan. Others didn’t. But looking back, I believe it all unfolded exactly as it was supposed to.

I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who crossed my path, welcomed me into their world, shared their stories, supported the journey, or simply stopped for a conversation.

I’ve been fortunate enough to capture some extraordinary moments with some truly remarkable people, and I can’t wait to share more of their stories with you.

Because the yachts may bring us together, but it’s the people who make this world what it is.

Here’s a little glimpse of Monaco Yacht Show 2026.

A huge shoutout to the YachtieWorld team for crafting magic behind the scenes. I am extremely grateful for you 💙

Until next time. 🥂 🔜 FLIBS🇺🇸

Meet DEEP BLUE. 💙

At 134 metres and over 9,000 GT, this Lürssen is difficult to comprehend until you see her in person.

Designed by Winch Design and delivered in 2026, DEEP BLUE combines enormous volume with remarkably clean lines — alongside diesel-electric propulsion and some serious engineering beneath the surface.

134.2m | Lürssen | Winch Design | 9,079 GT

Another extraordinary example of just how far modern yacht building has come.

Have you seen DEEP BLUE in person?

You are looking at one of the most fascinating conversions on the water. 🤯👇

Spotted the massive 141-meter (463-foot) M/Y Yas at anchor in the waters of Nice. While she looks like a futuristic spaceship or a sleek dolphin today, this mega-yacht actually started her life back in 1977 as a Dutch naval #frigate (HNLMS Piet Hein)!
As a Kortenaer-class frigate (F811) in the Royal Netherlands Navy, the vessel looked like a traditional, heavily armed cold-war warship. Her sleek, narrow steel hull was topped with a massive lattice radar mast, a prominent forward naval gun, and anti-ship missile launchers

Decades later, she was completely stripped down and rebuilt in Abu Dhabi with that unbelievable, emerald-tinted glass superstructure. Today, she’s owned by the Abu Dhabi Royal Family, holds up to 60 guests, and is worth an estimated $180 million.Seeing her in the French Riviera puts her mind-blowing scale into perspective. Definitely not your average superyacht! 🌊🛥️

This is PELAGIC EXPRESS. At just 81 metres long, she runs between South Florida and the Caribbean, carrying the everyday cargo that keeps island communities moving.

Captured here departing Port Everglades, her regular trade connects South Florida with Providenciales in the Turks & Caicos Islands 🇹🇨.

She may not have the scale of the container ships or the glamour of the superyachts sharing these waters, but vessels like Pelagic Express play an essential role in Caribbean life — transporting commercial freight and supplies between the mainland and islands that depend heavily on maritime trade.

At around 2,600 tonnes deadweight, she’s a relatively small general cargo vessel, built for exactly this kind of regional work: moving goods efficiently between ports that the world’s largest cargo ships aren’t designed to serve.

It’s easy to watch a ship disappear over the horizon without ever wondering where she’s going — or why.

But behind every departure is a destination.
Behind every cargo is a need.
And behind every vessel is a job that keeps somewhere else moving.

21 LESSONS I LEARNED FROM A YACHT OWNER

Recently, I finished reading a book written by a yacht owner I’ve had the privilege of meeting in person.

I picked it up expecting to learn more about business.

Instead, it gave me a push I needed at exactly the right time.

In a few weeks, I’m heading to the Monaco Yacht Show to undertake one of the most ambitious projects we’ve attempted at YachtieWorld.

And I’d be lying if I said there wasn’t some fear.

Fear of the unknown.
The discomfort of stepping into something bigger.
The uncertainty that comes with pursuing an ambitious vision.

But one message from the book stuck with me,

And I’m paraphrasing here:

“You’ll never know what you could have accomplished unless you push through.”

So that’s exactly what we’re doing.

Show season is about to begin, and this year I want to look beyond the yachts, parties and obvious glamour.

Because behind everything we see is an enormous ecosystem of people.

Crew. Craftsmen. Engineers. Designers. Brokers. Builders. Suppliers. Entrepreneurs. Problem-solvers. And countless others whose work rarely receives the recognition it deserves.

People who serve this industry with passion, purpose and mission.

We call them Unsung Heroes.

What struck me most is that there probably isn’t one enormous decision that suddenly changes everything.

It’s the slow climb of the ladder.

One decision. One relationship. One lesson. One courageous step at a time.

Monaco is our next step.

We’re going there to listen, learn, explore and document the people who make this extraordinary industry possible.

Not just the people standing in the spotlight.

The people who make the spotlight possible.

The Hidden Currency Behind a $200M Deal

Imagine entrusting the sale of a nearly $200 million asset without reading a single word of the contract.
That kind of trust isn’t won in a meeting. It’s built over decades.
Jonathan Beckett, CEO of @burgessyachts , has spent his career at the highest levels of the superyacht industry where some of the world’s most significant transactions ultimately come down to something remarkably human:
Trust. Discretion. Relationships. Reputation.

After working with one client for nearly 20 years, Jonathan recently sat with him to discuss the sale of his yacht.
When it came time to sign the agreement, Jonathan offered to send it to his lawyer.
His response?
“That’s not necessary. Just give it to me.”
He signed.✍️
No negotiation. No reading through the fine print.
Twenty years of reputation had already said what the contract couldn’t.
Because at this level, the yacht may be worth $200 million.
But trust is priceless.
Jonathan Beckett, CEO of Burgess one of the many people shaping the world of superyachting from behind the scenes.

Built to be seen from outer space. 🛰️⚓

Meet VALOR, Feadship’s custom 79.5-meter polar explorer. The American owner gave the design team a strict three-directive brief: make it unrecognizable from traditional “wedding cake” yachts, mix a battleship’s dreadnought bow with a missile frigate’s silhouette, and ensure it can be spotted from orbit.

The cool factors:
- Ice-Ready:
Features a 2-meter steel ice belt to plow through the Northwest Passage.

- Eco-Grid:
Can run for 48 hours in complete, silent battery mode.

- VIP Pups: Includes a private, grass-filled relief station and shower specifically for the owner’s three Golden Retrievers.
