Directed by Alexia Barrett, a 26-year-old Black British emerging filmmaker passionate about telling real, resonant stories. After working on popular series including Bargain Hunt (BBC One), Fake or Fortune? (BBC One), and First Dates(Channel 4), Alexia founded PO7C Films to create work on her own terms. Did you catch tonight’s episode of Fake or Fortune?
Series 12, episode 3 Music Memorabilia is a wild investigative story uncovering two musical instruments with potentially famous connections; a Piano with a link to John Lennon and a Guitar with a connection to Ronnie Wood.
I had the pleasure of joining the brilliant Fake Or Fortune team at the BBC Bristol Studios last year as a development researcher on episodes 3 and 4. I ended up going down an insane rabbit hole in an attempt to uncover the provenance of these Musical items. My efforts led to an Assistant Producer credit on episode 3.
If you haven’t watched it yet, catch up with Fake or Fortune on iPlayer, to see if these musical connections were proved real, or not. by @alexiajbarrett
