“Thandolwethu” has been one of my favorite songs for a long time, and this weekend I got to meet the man behind it. Thank you @skillz_musiq for the music and for being so kind 🤍 by @alexiasane

We didn’t get here by waiting for someone to choose us.

We got here by choosing ourselves.
By creating our own opportunities.
By taking the long way when the obvious road wasn’t ours to take.

“They can draw the map, but they don’t get to decide where we’re going.”

So we go around.
We create our own way.
We build our own rhythm.

And this is only the beginning.

The second frame is one of my favorites in this series inspired by one of my favorite Gqom DJs, @funky_qla 🔊

The song choice, Umkhuleko ~ “The Prayer” ~ felt fitting because it speaks to holding on through the storm, trusting the process, and finding strength to keep going.

This shoot with @wagacha_ represents more than just a few good frames. It feels like a marker of where I am right now growth, rebirth, and finding myself again.

The past quarter tested me in ways I never expected. But like a phoenix, I’m choosing to rise from the ashes sharper, stronger, and more intentional👐🏾

This is me stepping into the next chapter 🦅🔥
