Massively well 40 today and thank you to my sister @lauraelds for this ❤️ by @alexiseast

Brilliant few days spent up @tanshikarspicefarm in the hills of the Netravali nature reserve

It’s been in the same family for 250 years and was just a right bloody joy to stay at and experience

Cabin in the jungle, natural pool, a 6km guided trek to a huge waterfall (which almost killed me in 36c heat and god knows what humidity but brilliantly looked after by Rijesh) in a jungle full of bears, cobras, jaguars, spiders, monkeys and more

Awesome tour of the spice farm where we learned so much about the ingredients we get in those little pots from the Big Sainos. I can definitely say that I appreciate the effort to get such precious end product out of a huge effort now more than ever…..

And all organic, eco tourism done with heart and by the loveliest people - and a cool bunch of other guests off the beaten path too

Loving this parcel of India more each day 🙏🇮🇳 by @alexiseast

Well I couldn’t even begin to go through all the photos and memories that would tell the story of my 12 years at @mcsaatchise

Today’s my last day

Shit I will miss it and also miss the incredible people who make it throb

I’ve been given and been able to grab opportunities that have been absolutely nuts. It’s taken me around the world so many times over, I’ve met and got to know so many incredible people and got to know myself so much better too

So happy to have experienced it

Well, Friday night was a right old balls up. In all the ways…

I ended up having same day emergency surgery after experiencing pain *down there* and heading to @theroyallondon_ed @nhsbartshealth

All is well / on the mend post surgery and resting at home (I’m assured it could’ve been much worse and very glad I went when I did as a result)

But more than me talking balls as per, I wanted to say more that the care, compassion and professionalism from everyone who looked after me was outstanding. From the triage nurses, to the healthcare assistants, the many brilliant ED nurses and doctors, urologist, consultant urologist, the anaesthetists, consultant anaesthetist who knocked me out (she also had excellent banter), the surgeons and the ward nurses, food assistants, all the theatre staff and all of the others that would’ve there in theatre when I was in cloud cuckoo land, and ones I might’ve forgotten- top class

But it was also really clear to me and from what I saw and overheard there was that it’s no joke; the system is under strain, they’re all doing their jobs to the highest standard and with care - but everything we hear about how tough it is at the minute is more than true

And anyone who thinks these guys (along with other workers in other sectors ofc, but let’s talk NHS for now) don’t deserve fair pay and working conditions needs to give their head an absolute wobble

I’m at home and resting, but many of those guys will be back at their posts right now, doing it all over again

Respect and huge thanks ✊️

So last week we got the nod from our brilliant partners @virginmedia to produce a live streamed red carpet show with @TikTok from the #VirginMediaBAFTAs red carpet for the first in person TV event since the pandemic

We gathered together a ridiculously good team to turn it around and on Sunday we broadcasted to millions in partnership with our pals @tiktok with the wonderful @ehizufuah on hosting duties

It was ace to be back on a carpet and to speak with some brilliant talent esp the nominees of the #MustSeeMoment award

Loads of fun was had, and some sun burn gained 🌞 Have done a fair few in my time, but there was def flashbacks happening to the 2012 red carpet w Miss Piggy when live streaming was just a little thing, let alone @tiktok

🧓

Huge lift from the team esp @emmasweet30, our wonderful broadcast partners @karma.socials @tiktok & the whole @mcsaatchise crew

On to the next! by @alexiseast

Man, it was so good to catch up with @sureshsundararaj after 12 years, sharing stories of working at & having amazing times @borkowskipr WAY BACK WHEN (pre grey hair). Great to see you flying ever more high in NY mate by @alexiseast

Celebrating and shouting out @derekchampignon today. Along with his team he’s created, open, ran and all round smashed one of the most innovative clubs in the UK, well, ever @thecauselondon. With obstacles and hard work all over the place. Is coming to a close so was bloody ace to get one last dance in @adonis.adonis.adonis. Special! Salute mate :) by @alexiseast
