I live a blessed life ✨

I didn't take too many photos this year, but I have done so many things. From small little changes to big personal achievements - everything has just been putting me closer to the kind of person I'd like to be and the kind of life I'd like to live.

I've had a year full of joy, curiosity, creativity, discipline, connections, grounding, and love. I wouldn't have changed a thing.

Here's to more adventures, growth, and explorations that feel aligned 🤗

New achievement 🏅🏃‍♀️

I spent most of my 20s wanting to be a runner but not fully believing I'd ever actually enjoy it. In my 30s, I'm proud to say I'm finally becoming that version of myself ✨

I ran my first half marathon in 2024. Although it's still an achievement I'm incredibly proud of, I was undertrained and running on a sprained ankle I'd gotten three days before the race (questionable choice, yes - but it felt right at the time😅). That came at a cost - recovery was long, and I lost motivation to run for a while.

This marathon wasn't about topping that achievement - it was about rebuilding my relationship with running. I wanted to do things differently - pace myself better, listen to my body more, and start the race from a place of excitement, not frustration or injury.

And I did, for the most part. It wasn't perfect (not as many long runs as I wanted) but I did listen to my body and chose recovery and consistency over pushing too hard. That made me feel a lot more prepared.

The race itself wasn't easy - especially after the half-marathon mark. I hit a wall somewhere between 25 and 30... It was tough. Getting onto a familiar route at 30km put me more at ease - but honestly, everything just hurt at that point 😁

What I'm most thankful for in all of this is the sense of community and support I felt during the run. People were cheering loudly at every part of the race. So many of my friends showed their support - sending messages, creating posters, providing snacks. Some only saw me run by for a minute, but those minutes meant everything to me - especially in the moments where both my body and my brain were yelling at me to quit 💙

The last half a kilometer was the hardest to rally for. It was so close, and yet so far! The energy was palpable, the crowd was the loudest - and somehow that makes it both better and harder at the same time. Thankfully, I had the right song carry me through the finish line 🎶

I'm so glad I did this.

And I say this with full confidence, I hope I never do it again 😁😅 Half-marathon is a lot more reasonable.

Thought I should post the actual competition video! 😁 Still a little dazed that this actually happened! 🎖️🥹

It was such a joy to see everyone dance in the JnJ finals (including some of my friends!) - the level and the energy were incredible! I honestly didn’t expect to win, but maybe being relaxed and just dancing with connection and joy was exactly what worked. Usually the spotlight makes me quite nervous, but this time I felt calm, present, and able to just express myself as I was - I'm so glad that resonated with both the judges and the audience.

Huge thanks to @eaureachu for truly co-creating this dance with me. Can't believe it was basically our first time dancing together! Your lead gave me so much freedom and space to play while bringing in such fun and complex elements. You also seem like a really cool person - your genuineness and humility stood out right away. I couldn’t have asked for a better person to share the dancefloor with 🙏🤗

And of course, big thank you to @damianbachatasensual, @valeriiazosimova and @bachatasensualamerica for putting together such an amazing event! And to everyone who danced, cheered, and shared their love and energy in the room. Feeling so blessed to be a part of this dance community 💙

I was feeling inspired after BSA Chicago, so I cooked up this little choreo while delirious after my flight 😁 @susandeberas is my current inspiration for intricate finger drumming - can't stop doing it lately.

I've been really enjoying playing with the basics and shoulders, and finding different ways to connect them to the music. Lots to learn and practice, but that's what makes it fun!

This song has been stuck in my head ever since @jbayes92 reminded me of its existence - super happy I got to do something so fun with it ✨

I never really post my birthday dances, but this one was so smoothly chaotic (chaotically smooth? 😅) that I'd like to have it here 😁

This song has been stuck in my head for weeks, and I'm incredibly happy I got to express it together with so many wonderful dancers and friends 🥰✨

I remember when I used to feel so self conscious of seeing my dances on video, but today I’m glad to have all those videos from the beginning. Why? Because all those videos show different versions of me as a dancer. One thing that has changed significantly in me: confidence!

Club lessons are underrated.. 👀

Because where else can you learn a fun way to dance & connect during the intro of a song AND a combo that can fit into almost any part of the song- all within 30 minutes?

We don’t teach choreos.. We teach moves you can interpret, adjust & modify so they work with the music instead of against it..
