RIP Jenny Murray. I met her with my daughter when she interviewed us on Woman's Hour some time ago to promote my play I'm A Minger! Which highlighted important issues of problems young girls face in society, including bullying self-esteem and even teenage suicide. The feature on the Woman's Hour programme really helped in promoting the play, and she was so welcoming and kind; especially to my young daughter. by @alexjonesplaywright

My heart goes out to everyone in LA whose lives have been devastated by horrific fires. But it has to be acknowledged that this terrible catastrophe is due to climate change. Ironically, my scorched earth climate change play CANNED PEACHES IN SYRUP (penned in 1994) premiered in LA at the Pasadena Playhouse many years ago in an amazing production, directed by Damaso Rodriguez. But America has now elected a president who is a climate change denier, who delights in taunting the planet with his pathetic playground, puerile rants... 'drill baby drill!' God help us all... by @alexjonesplaywright
