Happy birthday to our number one guy! Our rock, fearless leader, and biggest sports fan. We are so lucky to have you leading our family and showing us what it looks like to live each day with Jesus at the center. Watching you love and lead our family is one of my greatest blessings.

I can’t wait to see what this next year holds as we become a family of five. So grateful I get to do this life with you!

A Friday well spent on Main Street, visiting one of our favorites and finally trying a new spot to celebrate Chandler a little early. 🤍

Lula Drake is always our first stop. We get there right when they open to grab a table inside, and the service, food, and ambiance are unmatched. If you’re expecting, be sure to try the sparkling tea. It’s out of this world!

After months of saying we needed to go, we finally made it to Moxy. Truly one of the best views in the city. You can see for miles, and the cotton candy sky couldn’t have been more perfect.

A super simple meal train that any new family will appreciate!

I picked up a Chicken Tetrazzini casserole from our favorite Kudzu and pre-baked it so the family could heat it up whenever they were ready. On the side, I added a homemade Caesar salad, baked breadsticks, cookies, and a frozen pizza for their son.

And don’t forget the plates and napkins because no one wants to worry about dishes with a newborn!

Nothing says fall quite like homemade apple butter 🍎🍂✨

This easy stovetop recipe makes the most delicious, sweet, cinnamon spiced apple butter and there is nothing better than serving it warm with fresh homemade biscuits! 🤎

Homemade Apple Butter 🍎

✨ 6 medium apples, peeled and chopped
✨ ½ cup sugar
✨ ½ cup brown sugar
✨ 1 tbsp cinnamon
✨ 1 tbsp vanilla
✨ ¼ cup orange juice

Cook the apples over medium heat until soft. Transfer to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Pour the mixture back into the pan and cook over low-medium heat, stirring occasionally so it doesn’t burn.

Let it cook down until it becomes darker in color and the sugars begin to caramelize. 🤎 by @alexmfogle

Saturday at Jeter Mountain Farm was the perfect little escape from the heat! 🍎

It’s only about a two hour drive from Columbia, so it made for an easy day trip with the kids. We picked apples, explored the market, played on the indoor playground, and of course had our fair share of sweets. 😂

My favorite part was the atmosphere. The bluegrass music, mountain views, and slower pace made it feel like the perfect fall day.

Our bookend baby! 🩷 We are forever grateful for this surprise of a lifetime that God has so graciously bestowed upon our family. Mae is absolutely thrilled to be getting a sister, and Marion will have the best sisters to look after him his whole life. We are so excited for this beautiful new chapter as a family of five! 🎀🩷
