3 years since I last did this thing. I managed to get a bit faster and buy a pair of really tight shorts. Did the typical 30KM bonk and suffered an interesting case of double legs cramps during the last 7KM. Some how clawed my way to the finish line in 2:52:43, but could have been a little faster and far less dramatic. Onwards and upwards. “Complete tear of the Anterior Talofibular ligament and potential distortion of Calcaneofibular ligament“ - the last words I wanted to hear from the doctor. One month ago I sprained my right ankle and didn’t take it seriously. A few weeks later I sprained the same ankle again and here we are. DNF at @swissalps100 and DNS at @berlinmarathon. Bummed that the summer ended this way. Trying to learn from this and be patient as the recovery kind of just involves wearing a splint for a while and not doing much. I’ll be back 🦶💪 by @alexmwinter
