How do you learn 40 or 50 songs when you don’t even get the set list until the night before?I asked Alex North how he prepares for CMA Fest, where you might have one day to learn songs, solos, and artist arrangements before stepping on stage.One thing he said really stuck with me. Playing Broadway forces you to develop your ear instead of relying on charts.
