Coach Evans called me down to his office during chem lab on Thursday and told me that they needed someone to help the videographer during the football game… so I got to control the screen and film the crowd at the football game tonight! I was nervous at first but it went great. The marching band show on the other hand 🥴 taken in Manheim Township High School by @alexothmer

First EVER time camping!! Spoiler Alert: We won the sand castle building contest. It was a real underdog story. Our pontoon boat broke down and we had to be rescued. We learned a lot about beavers. This was an alumni picnic for the PA outdoor Corp. Oh and guess what I saw??? A BOG!!!!! FINALLY!! But you’ll have to go to my photography account if you wanna see the purple northern pitcher plants. Oh and the meteor shower! The drive back down was actually insanely scenic I had no idea Pa was that beautiful. We had a 10 person tent. I slept the worst I’ve ever slept and probably will ever sleep. I kept waking up from nightmares about harvestmen crawling on me. Ate 5 smores. Played the ukelele around a campfire badly. 10/10 experience. taken in Black Moshannon State Park by @alexothmer

ENDEMIC ENDANGERED PLANTS 🔥🥵! There is a subspecies of chickweed (Cerastium velutinum var. villosissimum) that is found ONLY at this ONE location in the entire world!! It’s literally called “Goat Hill Chickweed” 😤! Let me be clear- this is IN Lancaster county! This is our plant! Ugh it’s incredible. But anyway- serpentine barrens are very unique and rare habitats that have toxic soil due to heavy metals, meaning most plants can’t live there…. except for some very specialized babies that have adapted to the toxic soil! This includes our chickweed as well as Rock Stitchwort (Sabulina michauxii)! Around the barrens are juniper woods. After the visit my brother and I went to a local ice cream place and on the way saw a peacock just… chilling in front of a house? taken in Goat Hill Serpentine Barrens by @alexothmer

Rescuing baby bunnies! A neighborhood cat brought them outside our door and we heard them squealing. We brought them to a wildlife rehabilitator the next day. If you find an injured animal remember to never give it food or water, keep it in a dark box, and always bring to a professional! They stayed in a shoebox (after our little photoshoot). Actually the cutest thing I’ve ever held. by @alexothmer

LINK IN BIO!! It’s a Google Drive link, nicely organized by folders. If you posed for a photo, it’ll be in the POSED PHOTO folder! If you participated in any of the activities in the folder names (ex: basketball, hungry hippos) please skim through them! I’d encourage everyone to look through the CANDID PHOTO folder, it has some great ones that were taken outside of the events. If you’re looking for a specific photo you noticed me taking and can’t find it don’t be afraid to DM me! taken in Manheim Township High School by @alexothmer
