Volleyball has been my life for years.

And I’m just getting started.

I get to help athletes grow every day as a coach at Arrowhead High School.

Watching players gain confidence and discover what they’re capable of is why I love coaching.

By day, I help grow volleyball across Wisconsin as the Communications Coordinator for Badger Region.

Whether it’s telling athletes’ stories, supporting clubs, or promoting our sport, there is never a day in my life that doesn’t involve volleyball.

Some of my favorite moments happen in small groups and one-on-one lessons.

Breaking down skills.
Watching film.
Answering questions.

Helping athletes understand the “why” behind the game.

The best coaches never stop being students.

I’ve been fortunate to learn from some of the best minds in our sport, including all-time winningest coach in Division 1 history Russ Rose.

Every clinic, conversation, and convention reminds me that there is always more to learn, and that’s exactly how I want it to stay.

One of the greatest honors of my coaching journey was being selected as one of 44 coaches nationwide to receive the AVCA T.E.A.M. Award.

The program brings together coaches who are committed to togetherness, empowerment, accessibility and mentoring while investing in their growth and leaders and educators.

Being selected wasn’t the finish line, it was another reminder that great coaching is built on continual learning.

I still play because competing keeps me connected to the athletes perspective.

Pressure.
Momentum.
Failure.
Confidence.

Every match teaches me something I can bring back to athletes I coach.

Whether I’m coaching, working in volleyball, or competing myself…

I’m always chasing growth.

Because I believe the best coaches never stop improving.
