Today marks the beginning of the final year of my 20s. One last year before I become a burden on our healthcare system and am in hospice for the rest of my life. AARP calls me everyday and every other ad on my social media is erectile dysfunction pills or hair growth treatmentsWith all this in mind, I’ve decided I will sell my equity in mutiny so I can spend my final days doing what I truly love: manicuring my lawn. It might appear simple to you but it’s deceptively complex and it gives me the opportunity to chase people off of it and shake my clenched fist at them. Can you feel my excitement As fun as this sounds, I do unfortunately have to get through this final year of my 20s first. I wish I could just skip it entirely and begin my golden years, but since I can’t, I guess I’ll just make the best of it. I’ll spend it with my best friends, I’ll chase my dreams, I’ll go places I’ve always wanted to, and I’ll feel fulfilled. And as I look out across my beautiful lawn in my 30s, I will reminisce on these moments. I can go into my elderly years knowing I gave life my best shot. And all my nursing home friends in their 30s can come visit me and we can sit in rocking chairs together. It’s going to be amazing 🫶 by @alexprevatt

28!I could never have forecasted the immense growth and challenges we have faced this year. It has been exhilarating and grueling simultaneously.In the moments where it all feels like too much, I take solace in the fact that we have earned our challenges. Growing is impossible without taking on more complex problems and taking bigger risks. To even be in a position where you have difficult problems is something to be thankful for. Incredibly thankful for all the people in my life and for the opportunities that I’ve seemingly stumbled upon over the last few years. I’ve been reflecting a lot on how quick, spur of the moment decisions have changed my life massively. One story I’ll share before I go: When I got out of the military, I went to EMT school with the intention of going to paramedic school and applying for Firefighting. I needed 1000 hours clocked as an EMT before I could go to medic school, which is what prompted me to move into my vehicle and search for jobs at the ski resorts doing search & rescue. I actually accepted a job and made plans to move to Tahoe when I got a call from Northstar about openings on their patrol. A week later, Park City called me and asked if I could move to Utah in 2 weeks. I followed my gut, called Northstar back and told them I had decided to take a different job. My second day in Park City, I met @danny_krotz at a climbing gym and we immediately bonded over our similar interests in EDM and sports, and the fact that both of us had full sent it across the country on a whim. It’s crazy to imagine how different things could’ve been if I had just gone to Tahoe like I had planned, but HOLY SHIT am I happy that I didn’t. Life🫶 by @alexprevatt

Doing a little photo dump cuz I haven’t posted in months 🫡 I took some time away from work to go visit family on the east coast (pictures included) and to my dismay I had almost no service the entire time :’) but for that reason I had lots of time to reflect on the first half of 2023I don’t really feel like getting too long & sappy here, so simply put: I want to do more weird pop up shows. Fear Factory & the All Stars Dome Show were so sick. Fear Factory in particular was an awesome experience because we got the opportunity to pull all of the permits and work with the city, county, and state on the event. As a young event producer trying to build my résumé, that was such a great step forward.As I’m going through my pictures over the last 6 months, I’m realizing that my life is fairly one dimensional rn; Mutiny and it’s projects have taken the vast majority of my time. The funny & common assumption is that because I throw parties for a living, I must be living a fast & debaucherous life… that could not be further from the truth 😴 way too eepy tbh Excited to continue to navigate this space, live & learn outside of my comfort zone, express myself through our events🐬so long&thanks for the fish🐬 by @alexprevatt

I’m not super active on the insta feed. but I always like to make a post after big life events to commemorate them. I’m a little late on this…but these are some of the many great pictures and videos from saturnalia this year! Nurturing Mutiny into what it’s become over the last 2.5 years has been such an adventure. I feel like a proud parent whenever I’m at one of our shows and I feel honored to be apart of such a caring and thoughtful community. Our patrons always show up with incredible energy and I can’t even begin to describe how nice of a support system we have. There are so many friends who have donated their time and energy to help us produce these shows. Thank you thank you thank you 💙Behind the scenes, @danny_krotz and I have battled for Mutiny and our spot in the scene. We’ve worked hard to gain the credibility and trust of our patrons and the artists and teams involved in these events. We’ve taken massive risks, and at times leveraged ourselves immensely, solved life or death problems on incredibly short timelines, worked for months and months on projects that fizzled out into nothing, and simply overcame massive odds to stand where we stand. It’s exhausting to think about lol. But it’s only been possible because of our incredible community; that makes it all feel worth the struggle. Candidly, Mutiny still has a very very long way to go to be where we want it to be. Dan and I got to pat ourselves on the back briefly at Saturnalia, as we watched our vision come together, but this is really all just the beginning of what will hopefully be a long (and certainly arduous) journey. It’s not going to get easier or less complicated, only the opposite. But everyday we learn a little bit more and become a little bit more competent; and I think we’ll be ready to face the next big challenge, whatever it is.I hope that a year from now I get to post another sappy Instagram caption under some cool pictures from a massive & over the top 2023 Saturnalia 😁:3 buh bye📸🎥 @gorgeouscornchip @mileschisolm (two of the best in the biz) by @alexprevatt

This summer went by so fast🥲 my head is spinning from this year. So many new friends and new experiences. I don’t even really know where to begin with this weekend. I guess the logical place to start is back in October of last year, when Dan and I were zipping around the country doing audits trying to get out of the hole from our last show. We were on the phone for like 4-5 hours a day running through ideas for how wanted to proceed with another show, and it was then that Singularity was conceptualized. This would not have been possible without our partners @wearemmgllc and @soepiclife . These guys brought the experience that we needed, and I’m incredibly thankful to have been able to learn from them. @1_epic_life_2_live and @epicrabbi put us up in their house for over a month while we tried to get this show to launch!! That was such a great time, I’ll never forget that as long as I live.Thanks to all the patrons who came out, I heard overwhelmingly positive things from everyone while I was walking around, and I’m honestly just grateful for the opportunity to create experiences and memories for people. Raving was important to me, and now I get to try my hand at building events for others. Shoutout to @battletestedveterans and @utahmotorsportscampus for blowing another event out of the water. It’s a beautiful thing when you become friends with the people you work with. And last but certainly not least, shoutout to my brother @danny_krotz for being an absolute machine and the best partner anyone could ask for. I love what we’ve created and we both have huge aspirations for where we want it to go. What’s next? Well damn, I’m going be sleeping for the next couple days.. but then idk, I guess you’ll just have to wait and see. -Alex📷 @alliemischen by @alexprevatt
