Every cocktail you’ve ever had came from THESE 6

Why do they matter? Because once you understand these “Mother cocktails,” you unlock the ability to create endless riffs, design smarter menus, and train bartenders with confidence.

The Six:
Sidecar – citrus sophistication.
Martini – elegance in a glass.
Old Fashioned – the original spirit-forward classic.
Daiquiri – bright + balanced.
Flip – rich, frothy tradition.
Highball – refreshing & versatile.

At LexHall Consulting, I don’t just teach recipes—I show teams how to apply structure, history, and creativity to elevate their bar programs.

✨Which one is your favorite to build from?✨

5 Terms Every Bar Manager Should Master 🍸📊

1. COGS (Cost of Goods Sold)
➡️ What: Your ingredient costs.
➡️ How: Track weekly with invoices + inventory.

2. Pour Cost %
➡️ What: COGS ÷ Sales × 100.
➡️ How: Keep between 18–25% for healthy margins.

3. Gross Profit Margin
➡️ What: Sales minus COGS.
➡️ How: Use it to measure drink/menu profitability.

4. Prime Cost
➡️ What: COGS + Labor.
➡️ How: Keep under 65% of sales to stay profitable.

5. Contribution Margin
➡️ What: Profit per drink after direct cost.
➡️ How: Build menus around high-margin items.

✨ Together, these 5 numbers show you where your money’s pouring, where it’s sticking, and where it’s slipping. Systems are the basis of any successful business!

Over a decade of managing bars distilled into a 10-second pour. Cheers to the craft & hard work that accompanies it!

✨POV: You’re always behind the camera instead of in front of it.
That’s how consulting works too—most of my wins are seen in my clients’ results, not in my spotlight. 📸

I specialize in building the foundations, systems, and creative strategies that let others shine. The best marketing isn’t about who’s holding the camera—it’s about the story being told.
