“You all are the embodiment of what we want to be as a country. As people are looking for heroes, I say, ‘Look to the athletes of the Special Olympics.’“ - Timothy Shriver.

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Special Olympics Michigan, Pat Peters, Sheila Gafney, and Area 13 for giving me the opportunity to coach such an incredible team over the past two years.

To our athletes: I couldn’t be prouder of what you’ve accomplished. You have shown the world that with dedication, hard work, and perseverance, you can achieve your goals. Watching you compete, grow, and support one another has been a privilege. Team Michigan Volleyball finished second in the nation, that is no small feat. I am excited to see what you will accomplish in the coming years.

As a delegation, Michigan finished 4th in the nation, with 55 athletes earning 62 medals, 27 of which being gold medals. These achievements represent countless hours of training, determination, and teamwork. You all have represented team Michigan with pride.

Fishing during spring break. Caught a 29 inch snook and a 18 inch spotted trout and then my grandpa caught a 35 inch snook. There’s also a bird behind me before we took off he wanted my bait. Had a great time. by @alexwareham06
