✨ Daily Habit #25: Stepping out of my comfort zone ✨

I try to do things I’ve never done before, whether it’s visiting a new place, signing up for an activity that feels intimidating, meeting new people, or simply saying yes to an opportunity I would normally overthink.

Growth lives in unfamiliar places. I lean into it.

I’m not naturally fearless, and I don’t always feel ready. But I’ve learned that confidence rarely comes before the experience. Most of the time, it comes after.

Every time I step outside of what feels comfortable, I discover something new. Sometimes it’s a new skill, sometimes a new perspective, and sometimes it’s proof that I’m capable of more than I thought.

It’s made a small but real difference in my confidence, resilience and willingness to embrace change.

✅ Why it works for me: Every new experience expands my comfort zone a little more and reminds me that growth rarely happens when everything feels familiar.

Is there something you’ve done recently that pushed you out of your comfort zone? Let me know 💬👇 by @alfaeats

Beginner to beginner 🏃‍♀️💛
Save this for your next run!

I’m no running expert, and honestly, I’m probably the one who needs to follow these tips more often! 😂 But here’s what I’m learning along the way.

✨ Start slow, no rush. 10 minutes is better than nothing. Forget the pace and focus on showing up.

✨ Make it your own party! Choose music you love. Running should be something you enjoy, not a punishment.

✨ Your mind will tell you to stop. Sometimes, give yourself a little more time before listening to it. You might surprise yourself!

✨ Set tiny goals. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself or focus on a specific target. One step at a time!

✨ Celebrate your wins! Every run counts, even the short ones. Be proud of yourself for trying.

✨ Find your pre-run motivation. Mine? Dates with peanut butter! 😍 Having a little treat to look forward to makes getting out the door easier.

Fellow beginner runners, what’s one thing that helps you keep going? Share your tips below, we’re all learning together💛 by @alfaeats

Estrenant la ruta gastronòmica a Barcelona at @barbauma.es ☀️

After walking several km around the city centre, it was time for some tapas to recharge!

We started with ensaladilla russa (a Spanish classic with potatoes, veggies, tuna, mayo & olives 🫒), pop a la gallega (octopus with mashed potatoes) and a few other yummy bites.

Super good service, tasty food and a sunny terrace… honestly, one of my fav things ever! ☀️ Something I kinda miss here in Dubai 🥹

✨ What I Eat in a Day — Edition 25

🍞 Breakfast: German dark rye bread with cherry tomatoes & cheese

🍝 Lunch: Pasta alla Norma with tomato, aubergine & cheese

🐟 Dinner: Broccoli, edamame & apple salad with lots of seeds, plus the most delicious black cod

Tomatoes, cheese, pasta, veggies and fish… basically, all my favourite things on one plate (well, four 😌).

Because eating well should be about enjoying your food, too.

Now, tell me… have you ever tried black cod? I discovered it here in Dubai and honestly, I was hooked from the very first bite! 🤤

Could this be any more beautiful? ✨

Every little detail of this table at my friends’ wedding…

Flowers, personalised menus, candles, petals, photos on fabric.

All set in the middle of the family vineyard, under the moonlight and the glow of the tent lights, surrounded by trees.

What a dream 🤍🍇 by @alfaeats

Not every race is about being the fastest. Sometimes, it’s about showing up, pushing yourself, and proving to yourself that you can🏃‍♀️ by @alfaeats

The other day I posted this fideuà on my stories and you guys clearly approved... 💫

If you’ve never tried it, think of it as paella’s sibling… except it’s made with noodles instead of rice. Personally, I might even prefer it to paella👀

There are a few other differences, of course, but I’ll leave the explaining to the fideuà experts (not me...)

Now, if this post gets 50 likes, I’ll take it as a sign that I need to challenge myself and try making fideuà from scratch😏

Time to start learning how to cook the dishes I grew up loving and miss so much from home🥹

50 likes and we’re making fideuà. Deal? 👀👇

What if life feels a little lighter when you choose to focus on the good in people? 🤍

✨ Daily Habit #24: Making kindness my default ✨

I try to be kind to everyone, whether it’s the person serving my tea, a colleague having a difficult day or someone I’ll probably never see again.

Not because I expect anything in return, or because everything in life is always positive. But because I believe we can choose the energy we bring into our everyday interactions.

A smile, a genuine thank you, a little patience or taking the time to help someone.
Small things, but they matter.
And there’s something genuinely rewarding about knowing you’ve made someone’s day a little easier or brighter.

It’s not about being nice to everyone all the time or pretending the world is perfect.
It’s about choosing kindness when you can, enjoying the little moments and finding happiness in making life a little better for the people around you.

✅ Why it works for me: Kindness creates a lightness I want more of in my life.
It takes almost no effort, costs absolutely nothing and can change the energy of an interaction completely.

You never know how much a small gesture can mean to someone.

TAG your friend who’s the kindest💖
