Draw it. Paint it. Cartoon it.
Make it. Say it. Do it. Now.

45 years ago today I asked @mgsalaz63 to sit on the school bus with me before our high school marching band competition. It’s been a Love-Rollercoaster ride ever since. 🤎 Thank you @manosgilroy and @kalakaarts for hosting the 3rd annual Chalk Fest. I got on my knees with gratitude to express my love yesterday. Her senior prom photo was my reference. Seeing the other artists not letting the heat stop them from drawing their hearts out was the next best thing to a cool breeze. - And then to know that my art of Mi Abuelita from last year’s chalk fest went on the plaques for this year’s winners made this year’s fest another memorable one. 🙏🏽 “Always and forever…🎶” #everlasting #love #toinfinityandbeyond #justthetwoofus #loverollercoaster #chalk #art #GilroyChalkFest #grateful by @alfsal
The mural I am working on along the Guadalupe River is close to being completed. The painting recognizes the Muwekma Ohlone family whose lineage traces back to their ancient burial grounds that was once nearby, walking distance from the art and the river. #family #familyhistory #ohlone #lineage #waterislife💧 #mural #art Supported by @powwowworldwide @montanacans_usa @monsterenergy Sponsored by @kellymoorepaint #Applied4Good In partnership with @guadaluperiverparkconservancy @sjculture by @alfsal

I made this shadow box ofrenda in memory of my father for the 22nd Annual Micailhuitl Día De Muertos taking place at San Jose’s History Park this Saturday, October 31st from 2-10pm and Sunday, November 1st 10am-6pm. Bring your family and friends. It’s the weekend to honor our loved ones with music, art, delicious food, cultura and Danza Azteca with @calpulli_tonalehqueh . The group art exhibit will be at the historic firehouse building there at the park. While my dad passed away 37 years ago creating this ofrenda art had me and dad getting together otra vez. Good to be with you again pops. #díadelosmuertos #life #love #familia #friends by @alfsal
An ol school pedal car that has been in the works, a collaboration with myself and @alfsal I shot the body, (flakes, Kandy, clear and logos) and Alfonso hit that bad ass interior rims headlights and grill, I really like the way it came together shoutout to @houseofkolor_ for an outstanding product I used their Apple 🍎 red and pagan gold 👑 and to @atccolors for having that flake last minute when I needed it by @alfsal
Last Saturday at the @lunaparkarts chalk festival, I paid tribute to Samson, the support dog who was able to help Emilio @duppyconqueror_ deal with the emotional scars that he suffered during the war in Iraq that took place in the early 2OOOs. I started chalking the composition on the 8 by 8 ft concrete that is part of the walkway there at Backesto Park and completed it towards the end of the festival. It was well received by the people who attended and I am grateful some of Emilio’s family were there to take it in as I was working on the art. Special thank you to Emilio’s daughter Seryna @norcalneedles who had provided me various photos to help me put this composition together before getting to the park to color them up. I learned about Emilio through my sister, who is friends with Emilio’s mother. She let my sister know about the documentary called BY MY SIDE that features Emilio along with two other local veterans. After the doc was completed it was featured at various film festivals throughout the country. It is now available to stream online via PBS. I have the documentary’s official website’s link in my bio. It is a moving documentary that showcases the military veterans and the magnificent dogs who are there by their side to support them. I highly recommend this documentary. Thank you to all neighbors, friends, and family who attended. That really helped me get it completed. Special thanks to all of the volunteers who helped make Saturday’s event a truly beautiful day. And to all those who have served or are currently serving in the military: Thank you #supportdogs #friends #family #bymyside #ptsd @bymyside.doc by @alfsal

Now available for your art collection. This is a print of the iconic King & Story cruise spot during the Golden Age of cruising from the mid to late 1970’s. I painted the mural at the Mexican Heritage plaza Museum in 2008 for the Mi Coche / My Culture art exhibit and has since been painted over. My friend @alfsal will have a few for sale at the Lowrider Holiday show event tomorrow September 6th at the San Jose city Hall. You can also place an order. See you manaña. by @alfsal
My art piece is ready for the Lowrider Day taking place at the San Jose City Hall Rotunda. “I Memmer” is based on my memories cruising around King and Story back in the early eighties with my good friend John Lara @johnlara24 and his ‘72 Monte Carlo. Check out this and all the other great works of art this Sunday, September 6 at the San Jose City Hall’s Rotunda. Enjoy the LOWRIDER DAY from 12pm - 6pm. Thank you @lowridercouncil @alb40804 @1culture_ and all who are making this happen, bringing us together for a good time out. #recuerdos #memories #backintheday #community #lowrider by @alfsal
