The last 6.5 weeks have been… interesting. 😂

I went to Ensenada on a mission trip with our church in mid-July. Amazing trip. A few days later, I got absolutely wrecked by what I thought was food poisoning.

Turns out, I wasn’t just sick. I was one of only 10 people in San Francisco diagnosed & documented with the Cyclospora parasite. Yeah, that lettuce thing! To put that into perspective, it’s pretty rare in California. But in the great state of Michigan, where my sister and her family live, they’ve had 14,277 cases!

That’s a whole lot of toilet time and vomiting. 🤮😂

Apparently, God called me to Mexico… and Cyclospora called me back. 😂

Seven weeks later, I’m grateful to finally be on the other side of it. God is good. My gut is still working on its testimony. 😂

I dropped 15 pounds in the last month. Please don’t try this diet at home. I definitely don’t recommend it. 😂

And because of the food poisoning, Cyclospora, and the effects it had on my body, my gallbladder now has to be removed. Should be a routine laparoscopic procedure.

I was literally just in bed (15-20 hrs/day) the toilet or the doctors’ office or the hospital and church on Sunday for a period of almost 2.5 weeks.

I’m so grateful for the people I get to be with and get to meet. That’s my jam.

So yeah… it’s been a season. But through all of it, God has been faithful. 🙏

The last few weeks have been full.

Serving our community.
Gathering as a church.
Sharing meals.
Celebrating wins.
Walking with people through hard moments.
Doing life.
Work/Ministry.

These photos are just a small representation yet a strong reminder that following Jesus isn’t just something we believe. It’s something we live. One conversation, one act of kindness, one prayer, and one opportunity to serve at a time.

Grateful for every person who shows up, serves with joy, and helps make our community a little brighter.

Fridays & Saturdays are officially our days together since it’s my days off. We’re always looking for Bay Area sunshine because we live in SF. Chilly! We especially love the peninsula- Burlingame all the way down to Los Gatos. We started strong today in San Carlos, getting in 18K steps and practically walking the entire town for 3.5 hours 😂 Laura used to live in San Carlos, Menlo Park, Palo Alto & Los Altos. And if it was just her choice, we’d be living in our place in Los Altos.

One of the things we love to do is walk through neighborhoods, Google the prices of homes that we like. Then figure out school districts, distance from a Whole Foods & restaurants (it is an important marker in real estate). That’s how we got into real estate in the first place - dreaming big and praying about big dreams. Quality time is definitely one of our love languages, that’s why we can log in so many steps.

From egg hunts, bounce houses, face paint, Easter bunny to powerful worship & an on point message from our lead pastor @samuellaws —Easterfest had it all.

But the best part? Seeds planted and lives moving toward Jesus.

Nothing sweeter than honoring the woman I love surrounded by friends for decades and new friends. Our church community showed up with laughter, joy, and a whole lot of love.

Snow in the Bay™ ❄️ at @bravechurch @bravechurchsf

Thousands of people - one of our biggest community gatherings and endless joy. A day filled with serving our neighborhood with wonder, faith, fun, hope and God’s presence among us.

50,000 lbs. of snow, hot cocoa, inflatables, letters to Santa, Santa photos, new friendships, stories being written, barriers coming down, and a neighborhood reminded that they are loved.

Spontaneous plans, endless gratitude. ❤️ A simple night reminded me how blessed I am to do life with you.

We love RH’s Palm Court—not just for the food and ambience, but for its history and incredible architecture, as the Bethlehem Steel building built in 1917. Growing up in SF, the Dogpatch area was gritty and overlooked; now it’s one of SF’s coolest spots right by Chase Center & Oracle Park.

One of my greatest joys- the quiet, sacred honor of praying for people. 🙏✨

To carry someone’s name before God, to stand in the gap, to believe with them and for them—that is holy ground. Every whispered request, every tear, every “please pray for me” is not a burden, it’s a privilege.

The best part of this calling is not what I do for people, but what I get to bring before Jesus on their behalf. And there’s nothing more humbling than that.

What an amazing Sunday! Worship was powerful, the message on divine transformation was 🔥, and if that wasn’t enough — the Community Hang took it to another level. Burgers, laughter, and new friendships made it a day to remember.
