Muna Al Gurg, Vice-Chairperson and Director of Retail at the Al Gurg Group, participated in the first meeting of the American University of Sharjah’s (AUS) Advisory Council of Development and Outreach for the 2026–2029 term, chaired by HH Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, President of AUS.

Bringing together leaders from business, government and public service, the meeting focused on strengthening partnerships between academia and industry, expanding opportunities for students and supporting the university’s long-term strategic priorities.

Her involvement speaks to a longstanding belief within the Group’s leadership in the power of education to open doors, broaden perspectives and shape future leaders.

شاركت منى القرق، نائبة رئيس مجلس الإدارة ومديرة قطاع التجزئة في مجموعة القرق، في الاجتماع الأول للمجلس الاستشاري للتطوير والتواصل المجتمعي في دورته الجديدة 2026–2029 بالجامعة الأمريكية في الشارقة، الذي عُقد برئاسة سمو الشيخة بدور بنت سلطان القاسمي، رئيسة الجامعة.

جمع الاجتماع نخبة من القيادات في قطاعات الأعمال والحكومة والخدمة العامة، لمناقشة سبل تعزيز التعاون بين المؤسسات الأكاديمية وقطاعات الأعمال، وتوسيع الفرص المتاحة للطلبة، ودعم التوجهات الاستراتيجية للجامعة على المدى الطويل.

وتجسّد هذه المشاركة إيمان قيادة مجموعة القرق الراسخ بالدور المحوري للتعليم في إتاحة الفرص، وتوسيع الآفاق، وتأهيل أجيال جديدة من القيادات القادرة على الإسهام في بناء المستقبل.

Across the Group, initiatives such as Breakfast Chats, the Mentoring Programme and Enaya create opportunities for connection, guidance and open dialogue.

World Mental Health Day serves as an important reminder that consistent support and open dialogue remain fundamental to organisational well-being.

تبدأ الصحة النفسية في بيئة العمل من ثقافة تقوم على التواصل الفعّال والدعم المتبادل، وتمنح الموظفين الثقة والمساحة للتعبير عن آرائهم ومشاركة تجاربهم بكل أريحية.

People of Al Gurg celebrates the passions, talents and stories that make our people unique.

Meet Mohan Das, Chief Executive Officer at Gulf Metal Foundry, whose passion for outdoor adventure led him to fulfil a long-held ambition: trekking to Everest Base Camp.

After months of preparation, Mohan completed the 140km journey on foot with a group of 28. The experience gave him a lasting appreciation for the power of preparation, teamwork and simply taking one step at a time.

تسلّط سلسلة 'أشخاص من القرق' الضوء على شغف كوادرنا ومواهبهم وقصصهم التي تميّز كل فرد منهم.

تعرّفوا إلى موهان داس، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة الخليج لصهر الحديد، الذي دفعه شغفه بالمغامرات في الهواء الطلق إلى تحقيق حلم طالما سعى إليه، وهو الوصول إلى مخيم قاعدة إيفرست سيراً على الأقدام.

وبعد أشهر من التحضير، أكمل موهان رحلة امتدت لمسافة 140 كيلومتراً برفقة 28 شخصاً. تجربة عزّزت لديه أهمية الاستعداد والعمل بروح الفريق، وأكّدت أن الوصول إلى أي هدف يبدأ بخطوة، ويتحقق بالمضي قدماً خطوة تلو الأخرى.

The latest Breakfast Chats session, an initiative led by Muna Al Gurg, Vice-Chairperson and Director of Retail at the Al Gurg Group, brought women from across the Group together for an insightful conversation.

The session was led by Sarah Lakhani, Founder of Sarah Lakhani Consulting, who explored the importance of personal branding and the value of being intentional about how we are perceived. The discussion encouraged participants to reflect on their core values, what they stand for and the impact they want to make.

Breakfast Chats is designed as an open platform for women employees to exchange ideas, share experiences and strengthen connections across the organisation.

جمعت أحدث جلسات 'حوارات الإفطار'، وهي مبادرة تقودها منى القرق، نائبة رئيس مجلس الإدارة ومديرة قطاع التجزئة في مجموعة القرق، موظفات من مختلف شركات المجموعة في حوار ملهم وتفاعلي.

وقدّمت الجلسة سارة لاخاني، مؤسسة 'سارة لاخاني للاستشارات'، حيث تناولت أهمية بناء الهوية الشخصية والمهنية، وأثر الوعي بالصورة التي نتركها لدى الآخرين. كما شجّعت المشاركات على التأمل في قيمهن الأساسية، وما يؤمنّ به، والصورة التي يطمحن إلى أن يُعرفن بها، والأثر الذي يسعين إلى تركه.

وتأتي 'حوارات الإفطار' كمنصة مفتوحة تجمع موظفات المجموعة لتبادل الأفكار والتجارب، والتعلّم من بعضهن، وبناء روابط أقوى بين مختلف شركات المجموعة. by @algurggroup
