Kicking off this year's semi-annual #DontSleepOnMeDecember challenge with only 1 post, as a #ChurchGyal

Posting the oneee song we didn't rehearse today. But hey, we usually let God have His way at The Olive. I prefer my softer singing, but Southern folks like when I "sing loud" (yell. lol). I like to think God does, too. by @alhipariah

Big Plant Mami, Little Big Body
TWO YEARS !!! And I am actually just getting started ⚡️🪷💚 lol there's so much more in store y'all. One thing about it tho, imma take my time 💖🌿

Changing Soil Indoors with Ease & Less Mess:
*Tools*
~ An old plastic shower liner, or clean garbage bag, basically any big piece of plastic you have ('cause we ♻️ around here ju feel me).
~ 1 or 2 scoopers of your choice. Big enough to scoop, small enough to fit between the bases and keep you gentle.
~ An extra container/pot
~ Fresh soil of your choice. I've realized I use MiracleGro mostly. No particular reason, but it seems to work pretty well for my plants.

**water your plant 1-3 days beforee you plan to change its soil**
------------------------
1. grab your piece of plastic and line the floor. Center your potted plant on top. Have enough plastic surrounding the area space to avoid mess! Mine spilled out just a bit 🥴

2. Scoop out the old soil, placing some in a smaller container aside to reuse (the top 2 layers or so).

3. Take careful care once you start nearing the roots. Observe what yours might be telling you about your plant. Mine says it's almost time for a bigger pot! 🪴

4. Add your new soil to cover a good amount over the roots. Add in the 2/4ths of your older soil (cause again, we ♻️ over here), and top the remaining off with your new soil. This gives a lil aggregated variety or whatever.

5. Water your plant thoroughly to allow the roots to get cozy in their new soill 🥰

6. discard the old soil onto some greenery outdoors.

7. Empty other garbage into the plastic trash bag (so that you're not wasting plastic out here), and then throw it away.

P.S. I had 3-4 succulents when I wrote this song. Today I have 0 succulents. 🥹💚
