Case study:
Ahwak

The technical rehearsal week has come to its final day.
Disorder, devotion, and the tension that connects them have given birth to a place of chaos, yet a place of peace.
Peace that the performer feels as she loses herself in the surrounding habitat, drifting delicately in between logistics, actively observing the so-called “crashing out,” and somehow being the glue to the workflow. One last time without the audience, one last time where the entire crew could be alone, together.
That tension between disorder and devotion is where “Ahwak” was born.
A world that lives entirely in the final rehearsal, where Shams floats through backstage madness untouched, carried by the quiet high of tomorrow’s show.
A world built to feel raw, imperfect, yet charming, where the charm is the mess, and the mess is the style.

This is my first music video as a director, and creating it felt like building a dream out of moving paintings.
I couldn’t have taken this first step without a team that gave more than the screen will ever show. Every hand, every hour, every idea. This video is ours, not mine.
Thank you to everyone who held this vision with me
