Let’s install the Underberg Tree!! Y’all have seen the finished sculpture but what you didn’t see is what it took to install this piece at @thebackyardsocialclub 🌿🦋✨

This is the time when the magic really happens..✨ When your idea slowly becomes reality right in front of you. It’s the scariest part, and the most exciting part!

From transporting the fragile glass bottles, to hanging each strand and watching the tree begin to take form as we connect each piece to the base.. installing and wrapping hundreds of strands of fiber optics to create a glowing effect💫 And lastly, adding the foliage to the tree.. Each strand of caps carefully wired to the glass bottle branches🌿🌷🦋✨

A huge thank you to my incredible father who helped me all throughout the creation of the sculpture!! He is responsible for drilling hundreds of bottles and helping with the installation of the Underberg Tree :) and a special thank you to Nick, Robert, and Larry for helping me install this monster of a sculpture. I am so grateful for your help and couldn’t have done this without you all🫶🏻💫

GO CHECK IT OUT AT @thebackyardsocialclub 💚

🌿The Underberg Tree🌿 Now on display at the @thebackyardsocialclub !!💚✨

450 underberg bottles & est. 5,000 caps…
each green cap woven together to create organic formations, growing around the branches made entirely out of glass bottles. Three months of drilling and weaving wire and every second worth it once I saw the tree begin to take form💚🌿

I’m so grateful for this opportunity to create something special for @thebackyardsocialclub and showcase one of my favorite products in my own unique way🫶🏻✨ @underbergamerica

Being a part of the Re:Cap contest has been such an inspiration and pushed me out of my comfort zone to create something unlike anything I’ve made before. Thank you all for the love, support, & interest in my piece💚

Voting for people’s choice opens soon so don’t forget to show some love on that post too!!

For the past 3 months, I’ve been working on a sculpture for an art competition hosted by @underbergamerica 🌿✨ I’ve had a lot of questions about what I’ve been creating, how I’m making this work of art, and when it will be finished.. this is a behind the scenes look at what I’ve been doing with my 7,000 Underberg caps :)

Each cap has been punctured by hand, weaved together on aluminum wire to create “foliage” for my Underberg Tree!!🌿✨

I just submitted my art piece to Underberg for the art competition & i cannot wait to show you all the results VERY SOON🫶🏻

Also, stop by @thebackyardsocialclub to see my sculpture in person & shoutout to everyone who has taken a moment to stop & look at the detail that went into creating this! My heart is already so full💚

creating shapes in space. . . 🔹 📐🔹every angle, hand cut & placed together in a three dimensional mosaic, jutting out into space.

initially, these sculptures were just meant to be a base for my giant clouds.. (slide 5 & 6) as it grew and became more dimensional, i knew these structures would have their own moment one day🩵

the more i look at them, at their reflections in my mirrors, the more i believe this is just the beginning for this piece.. :)

follow along to stay tuned for new projects & art classes coming your way!
