It feels appropriate to post this photo on the day that so many people who love you are celebrating you and Terry.

This year has been hitting extremely heavy and one of those heavy hits was loosing you. When I first heard the news this was the photo I pulled up. I wanted to see that smile. I could hear your laugh echoing in the emptiness, confusion, and pain. I didn’t believe it, it couldn’t be you two.

I feel incredibly lucky to have been in your orbit and to have had you not only as a friend but as a mentor. I will never forget going to my first @cyclocrosscrusade race with you and Karen Kenlan in your VW van. You were the one who invited me with welcome arms to the @sunnysidesports team. You helped fan the flame of my cyclocross addiction. When I went back to school to become a teacher, I looked to you as a mentor. I always loved our chats at lunch or during prep. You knew how to keep things fun and light, to not take life too seriously. You were always down for an adventure, full of laughs and corny jokes. I loved my summer being part of your little family. There is huge hole in so many peoples hearts, I am trying to fill that hole with all the wonderful memories. See you in the mountains. I know you were a lot of peoples Bestie Superstar. by @ali_halp
