POSTS STORIES REELS
It has been quite the month. I could say a lot here but really all I want to say is thank you. Thank you to every person who gave words of encouragement and/or donated to this fantastic cause. Thank you to @breastcancerireland for the opportunity to do this challenge. I’ve gotten a lot from this myself and feel lucky to have been part of the team of fundraisers. I’m a bit emosh! I’ll have to wear a mask for the rest of the day so no one sees me crying hahaha!! Thanks everyone x #thankyou #100kmrunningchallenge #complete by @ali_heavey
Nearly there. 🫠💖🏃🏼‍♀️ Proud to say the donation amount currently stands at €1,235 with three days remaining. 👏🏻 Thank you to each and every person who has donated, commented or said kind words of encouragement over the month. Means the world and has helped me stay on track. Home stretch! 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼🏁 Let’s be having ya!!!! @breastcancerireland #teamBCI #100krunningchallenge #breastcancerireland #newrunner #running by @ali_heavey
DAY 26 of the 100km October running challenge for @breastcancerireland and I was feeling ambitious and full of hope to begin the day. 🏃🏼‍♀️We managed a 6.89km outdoor run today with our very special guest runner and local celeb Sean “Killers” Kiely, and of course, my running coach husband and community comedian Calvin Doyle. All joking aside, the boys were very kind and stopped with me when I announced I couldn’t do the 10k today! 🤣 and we all had a lovely coffee. And we were THEN joined by local movie star Ryan Hoey. During the run I felt gassed out and like my legs were not playing ball today. I guess that’s part of the journey! Once we tick off the km’s that is all that matters! 💓 Thank you as always for the support and encouragement, every message and donation inspires me to keep on going for BCI! Thank you! Alison is such a huge part of every film I make. Every idea, every edit, every little thought I have about a film gets talked through with her. She’s always supported me, and she’s one of the only people I’ll actually listen to creatively. I talk a lot about making films, but I don’t say enough about how much she’s part of all of it. Love you, Ali 🙏❤️ by @ali_heavey
Swipe to watch how thick I was at Calvin for not only bringing me on a 10km run, but through Corrig Woods “for fun”. 😶 @breastcancerireland we are well on track and I may have earned a rest day for tomorrow! 🧟‍♀️ Link in bio to donate! Thank you x #teamBCI #10km by @ali_heavey
Day 16 brings us to 50.5km which is ideal for the half way mark, and we have an amazing amount raised. 😭💖 Thank you to every single person. Let’s spice it up next week! If anyone locally wants to join me for a 3.5km slow paced run outdoors, comment or send me a message and I might get a little group of us together! It would be fun - I promise!!! 🤣 Link in bio to donate. 💖 #100krunningchallenge #breastcancerireland by @ali_heavey
Ali and I went through a box of old film ideas, photographs and things I’d kept over the years. Found a few films I’d still love to make. It’s all in our new video up on YouTube: “I Almost Threw Away 10 Years of Film Ideas”. Anyone else write their films on betting slips? Link is in my bio! by @ali_heavey
