Alone ( unfinished )Came home to vote and decided to finish this project the best I could with what little time I have before flying out for work. This is a short version of what I really had in store, but I wanted to be able to get something out for Halloween since I had so much planned originally.I still think it came out really good for what it is. Meet Alan and Diarra Alan hails from Southside high and lives in a low-income neighborhood the city is desperately trying to gentrify. He’s one of the star players of the football team, but has dreams that reach beyond personal stardom. He wants to make real change within his community and his struggling family…no matter what it takes.Diarra on the other hand is a Buckhead high elite cheerleader with hefty pockets. On the surface, her family is a classic made it out the hood story, but in reality her parents are involved in something much less noble to amass their wealth.I wanted to make a coming of age story that didn’t follow the usual tropes of chasing sports dreams to make it. I want to tell a story of a black man looking to make a change, while also not shying away from the struggles, systems, and injustices meant hold him back.#acting #actingchallenge by @ali_royal06

We made it to @variety ! I’m so immensely blessed and honored to have been apart of the @loveandothercrimesmovie team. This project is truly something special.
