💎I’m inspired by: Kathleen Neal Cleaver an American professor of law, known for her involvement w/ the Black Power movement & the #BlackPantherParty. She joined a little after Huey Newton was charged for killing an Oakland policeman. (this one is closer to home Aunt Kathleen) #BlackHistoryMonth

💎I’m inspired by: JoAnne Chesimard a.k.a. Assata Shakur, a former member of the Black Liberation Army, who was convicted of being an accomplice in the first degree murder of a State Trooper after her graduation, although medical evidence suggested her innocence. She began using the name Assata Shakur and briefly joined the #BlackPantherParty .. She surfaced in Cuba in 1984, where she was granted political asylum. Shakur has lived in Cuba since, despite US government efforts to have her returned.” #BlackHistoryMonth #AssataShakur (Americas Nightmare)

💎I’m inspired by: Angela Davis, black activist and philosopher. She was arrested as a suspect in the attempt to free George Jackson from a courtroom in August 7, 1970. She was eventually acquitted of all charges, but was briefly on the FBI's #MostWanted list. Angela Davis is associated w/ the #BlackPanthers and w/ the black power politics. She was active w/ SNCC (Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee) before the Black Panthers. Angela Davis is an activist and writer promoting women's rights and racial justice.” #AngelaDavis #BlackHistoryMonth ✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿
