Meet our #KASGala2026 Trailblazers and Musical Guest!

Each year, we honor three Trailblazers who have made a significant impact in the Korean American community and broader society. Our 2026 Trailblazers Honorees are Ali Ahn (@aliahn), Hollee McGinnis (@hollee.mcginnis), and Jaeki Cho (@jaekicho). We’re excited to officially announce our Musical Guest, Hana Vu (@hanavuuu)

🍂 Ali Ahn
Ali Ahn (she/her) is an actor, recovering classical pianist, and native Los Angeleno. Please forgive her. She is currently starring opposite Keri Russell in The Diplomat and Take Me Home. Past television work includes the Marvel series Agatha All Along, Raising Dion, The Path, and The Other Two. Select New York theater credits include The Heidi Chronicles on Broadway, The Great Leap, and the world premiere of Letters of Suresh.

🍂 Hollee McGinnis
Hollee A. McGinnis, Ph.D., MSW (she/her), is a prominent educator and scholar with 30 years of community organizing, policy, and research experience on adoption and global child welfare. Adopted from South Korea, she founded Also-Known-As, Inc., a non-profit adult intercountry adoptee in NYC in 1996.

🍂 Jaeki Cho
Jaeki Cho (he/him) is a Korean American content creator and founder of Righteous Eats. After working as a magazine editor and writer, he built his career through filmmaking and digital storytelling. His work has reached billions of views by documenting overlooked stories–from neighbor

🍂 Hana Vu
Hana Vu's (she/her) been making music since high school, with two full-length albums and several EPs behind her, filled with glowy, brooding anthems of abstraction and emotion. The Los Angeles-based songwriter signed with Ghostly International in 2021 to release Public Storage, followed by the Parking Lot EP in 2022. Her second LP, Romanticism, was released two years later.

Wednesday September 23rd 6:50PM recording artist and disability activist Lachi will give a special introduction ahead of the screening.
