Paris for Fashion Week. So much glorious beauty, so much salted butter and bread. Old and new friends. But walking through the park everyday stole my heart. by @aliblackbird

Today we are about to start a National screening of Reclaim the Flag..a short documentary I directed and co-produced with Bruce Cohen. In addition we are partnering with @humanrightscampaign. For the documentary we interviewed 50 LGBTQ+ leaders and discussed growing up in America, the American Flag, and ultimately asking “How do we Reclaim the Flag”. Obviously there are so many demographics that have felt marginalized and never embraced by the American Flag and/or felt the Flag was co-opted. But at the end of the day, we are American and need to own that and fight for Democracy! Please hit the link in bio to see the documentary, and stay tuned for The Movement! by @aliblackbird
Embodied leadership starts from within. Last week’s event was a powerful reminder that in order to lead and show up in our careers, relationships, and everyday lives, we have to first be connected to ourselves. Our mind, body, movement, habits, and overall health all shape the way we think, make decisions, show up for others, and navigate the world around us. From movement and mind-body connection to the impact of gut health on perception, mood, and leadership, the conversation reinforced how deeply our well-being influences the way we lead and live. A huge thank you to @aliblackbird and @dr.robinrose for sharing your wisdom and insight, and to @kristinsudeikisdance and @forward__space for co-hosting such an intentional and inspiring evening ✨. The future of work is rooted in the connection between success and health —and becoming the best versions of ourselves starts with taking care of our minds, our bodies, and the people around us. #embodiedleadership #womenshealth #careerlongevity #futureofwork #healthiswealth by @aliblackbird
The darkness, the womb, the connection, the first breath. The life and life and life and all the deaths. The grieving while we live, the grieving while they die. The grieving that equals the love. I love every single mother of mine. Of ours. I love all of us holding each other and all the babies. by @aliblackbird
I think a lot about the conversations I get to have across time and space by simply picking up a book. I get another mind inside of my own - speaking right into mine. I’m grateful for poets and list makers and writers of every kind. For Egyptian hieroglyphs and diaries and faded postcards in cursive in the junk shop. For the way water writes itself across time and riverbed. Always and forever reading and reaching. by @aliblackbird
Last weekend, surrounded by my favorite people, I turned 50! We did not stop dancing or laughing or talking for the whole time and I felt held in so much love and joy. Literally I felt as if my friends from every part of my life were holding me in the palms of their hands and lifting me up. I feel better, more myself, more capable and more comfortable than I ever have. Thank you @ashleytick for making it so special, for loving me so well. And all my friends for showing up and doing the same. by @aliblackbird
My sweet son is 18 today. I haven’t been able to post because I can’t choose the images that capture the feeling in my heart. I’m sitting next to Leo as I write and he’s looking at me because I’m already crying. I’m so amazed by having him as my son. I’m so proud of him. Love you buddy. Happy Birthday! @leoblackbird by @aliblackbird
