presents 𝗔𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗗𝗲 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿
I’m interested in the image of my body, the structure of the space, the properties of the material. By putting those three elements into a relationship, I’m looking for unusual, somewhat minimal actions which stimulate the interpretation of the audience. I’m following my intuitions, in the belief that they will translate my way to live in this world now.

I’m interested in the perceptions by the body and the creation by improvisation, because for art I trust body, intuition and improvisation more than mental reflexion.

Born in 1979, I live and work in Brussels. My artwork has been mainly focused on performance and video since 2006 ; then also on drawing and installation with paper.

With playful imagination and a strong physical presence, the artists created delicate sculptures, striking visual moments and social situations that captured people’s attention and opened up new perspectives on the cityscape.
The Blankartshof in Ahrweiler was transformed into a place where art unfolded in the here and now, reinventing itself at every moment.

explorativ°7 invites you to experience the city as an open space for exploration — a place where art unfolds in the moment and reinvents itself at every turn.

In mehrstündigen Aufführungen entstehen temporäre Kunstwerke, die alltägliche Abläufe unterbrechen, Orte akzentuieren und den öffentlichen Raum poetisieren. Mit spielerischer Fantasie und physischer Präsenz schaffen die Künstler*innen fragile Skulpturen, intensive Bildmomente und soziale Situationen, die Aufmerksamkeit wecken und neue Perspektiven auf das Bild der Stadt eröffnen.

Open-Source-Performances lasting several hours give rise to temporary works of art that interrupt everyday routines, highlight specific locations and poeticise public space. With playful imagination and physical presence, the artists create fragile sculptures, striking visual moments and social situations that capture the audience’s attention and open up new perspectives on the cityscape.

La Part du Feu a le plaisir d’inviter aux performances « Voir le temps » Emma Revest.

« Je questionne l’architecture et notre environnement à travers des performances. Je m’intéresse aux caractéristiques plastiques des objets et espaces quotidiens qu’on a tendance à oublier. Par des mouvements, manipulations, sons et déformations de ces éléments existants, je crée des tensions qui offrent un nouveau regard, rythme et sensibilité sur l’architecture et les corps.
Je cherche à occuper différemment les espaces quotidiens et troubler nos rapports sociaux dans ceux-ci.
Après avoir pratiqué le cirque pendant mon adolescence, j’ai étudié l’architecture et la performance à La Cambre à Bruxelles. Aujourd’hui, ma pratique est diverse et inclut la performance, l’architecture, le dessin et la scénographie. » Emma Revest

Sandra Johnston (Irlande du Nord) est active sur la scène internationale depuis 1992 en tant qu’artiste travaillant principalement dans les domaines de la performance, des installations vidéo, du dessin et de l’écriture. Sa pratique est ancrée dans des processus d’improvisation, et ses actions se caractérisent généralement par une économie de moyens et une attention particulière au contexte. Souvent, ses œuvres se développent sur de longues durées pour prendre la forme d’installations, où l’usage délibéré de la répétition permet une évolution et un affinement des intentions. Cette approche du caractère provisoire des choses insiste sur une relation spéculative quant à l’émergence de récits et de significations, qui se forment directement et conjointement entre l’artiste et le public.
