Neon Brothers is my first graphic novel as a cartoonist, published by @baopublishing in 2020 and nominated for Best New Author at the Boscarato Awards at @trevisocomicbookfestival that same year. In these slides, I've gathered all the work I did for the book: from sketches and character studies to the final script and finished pages, as well as the promotional illustrations and the exclusive dust jacket created exclusively for @komorebi_fumetteria. The story follows Nikolaj and Wakaba in a future London, where Brexit has exacerbated social and class inequality, giving Corporations near-absolute power over people's lives. For many, the only chance to change their fate seems to be fighting for the secret, illegal Federation in the streets. But is that really the only future a boy like Nikolaj can dream of? Perhaps. Or perhaps it will be his friendship with the Neon Brothers - Lavanda, Anita, Dom, and Murray - that will show him another path: one where work doesn't define a person's value, and where the bonds built along the way are what truly give meaning to life. Calipso is my second graphic novel as a cartoonist, published by @baopublishing in 2022. In these slides, I’ve gathered all the work I did for the book: from sketches and character studies to the final script and finished pages, as well as the promotional illustrations and logo design. Calipso is a secret agent working for a new division of the Italian secret services whose mission is to seduce and capture men who have committed acts of violence against women. But Calipso believes prison is not enough, and that these men deserve a far harsher fate. During a mission, she meets Alessandro, a police IT specialist who from target becomes her ally. Sharing the same vision of justice, the two disappear together and begin dispensing vigilante justice. Everything changes when Calipso and Alessandro’s relationship deteriorates, and a second, extremely attractive man, Matteo, enters Calipso’s life. The story takes a journey from the warm streets of Rome into the mind of someone who appears to be a ruthless assassin, but who actually hides weaknesses, fragility, and a struggle with depression. Figuring out who to kill seems easy, but why are human relationships so complicated compared to that? Un Poema Per le Piccole Cose (A Poem for the Small Things) is my third graphic novel as a cartoonist, published by @baopublishing in 2024. It was nominated for the 2024 Boscarato Award for Best Author (Story and Art) at @trevisocomicbookfestival and received an Honourable Mention at the Premio Demetra 2024. Salut is the world’s biggest Korean idol. XinYeong is just an ordinary young woman, struggling just to get by. Their paths cross in the most unlikely place: standing on the same bridge, both ready to jump. Rumors says that the end of the world is near. Climate collapse has pushed the planet beyond the point of recovery. But neither of them cares: they’ve already lost every reason to keep living even just one more year, waiting for the world to end. But then a question changes everything: what if there is still one last thing worth doing before ending everything? Together, they’ll embark on a massive world tour that leads them across the Earth’s seven sacred chakras, in one final attempt to save the world. But is this truly an attempt to save a world they already despise, scarred by exploitation, homophobia, and racism, or is it, in the end, just an attempt to save themselves? Blending Korean culture and traditions with an adventure around the world, this is a story about discovering love, rediscovering hope, and embracing the universal emotions that connect us all. It is a reminder that even when the future seems hopeless, the truest path to happiness may be found in life’s smallest, most ordinary things.
