This Sunday 1-3pm!
@thelovedone_la

I'll be joining a discussion panel as part of Allowing Many Forms' book launch for fellow artist, Malado Francine. Thank you @malado_francine for including me in the celebration. I love your book and look forward sharing in the conversation!

I'll bring my own copy of an artist book I made with AMF as well as some recent monotypes from my studio practice.

I now call the monotype process ‘evidence of heartbreak’ - knowing the plate will always be more beautiful but fleeting. Damn it. by @alicheat

Woke up to perfectly overcast light for photographs! I caught it just in time to capture the finer details in these monotypes. I particularly love the texture of the chine colle and pressed ‘linen’ paper. 👀🕵️‍♀️ by @alicheat

Monotype, ghost print, and plate. This paper has a nice laid texture. Lends a little romance. by @alicheat

Back at it with the small stuff!

Here's a plate, a monotype, and a ghost print. Meant to be used later as grounds for pastel, a la Degas, but like them too much right now to fiddle any more.

Before obsessing over roses, I made a book about trees. It's called Vivian Foster Gilman. Made with a frequent collaborator and publisher, Taylor Zanke at Allowing Many Forms.
