Comme vous le savez, depuis plus de 20 ans, j’œuvre activement contre les violences faites aux enfants, quelles qu'elles soient.

Avec "À Cloche-Pied", j’ai choisi de prendre la parole à travers le cinéma.

Ce premier court-métrage est une œuvre qui aborde les violences domestiques faites aux enfants avec pudeur, en mettant en lumière les blessures invisibles. S’en suivra des projections débats afin de sensibiliser, et aider au mieux ceux qui en ont besoin.

Ce film marque un tournant majeur dans mon parcours : faire de mes engagements des œuvres artistiques capables d’éveiller les consciences et de porter une responsabilité collective.

Je dédie ce film à tous les enfants qui ne peuvent porter leur voix.

Protéger l’enfance implique d’oser mettre en lumière les réalités que l’on préfère ignorer, y compris celles qui font écho à nos propres blessures.

On the occasion of the International Day of Peace, celebrated on September 21, I had the immense honor of serving as Master of Ceremonies for “AFG Calling for Peace,” an event organized at UNESCO @unesco Headquarters in Paris by AFG – All Future Generations, chaired by wonderfull @marietou_dione

Driven by the vision of its founder, @nicolapaparusso.afg , this exceptional gathering brought together leading figures from different fields around a shared ambition: promoting peace, inclusion, intercultural dialogue, and a more ethical and responsible approach to fashion.

Among the distinguished guests and contributors were @danielgrieder, CEO of BOSS, @AlicaSchmidt, Olympian and BOSS athlete, Marco Falcioni, @matteoberretini, the Chilly Studios team, as well as Fabio Ceresa and Federico, representing MFGA.

The ceremony also celebrated the work of artist Barone Italia, creator of the artwork representing the “AFG Calling for Peace” Award, together with the commitment of Giordana Sapienza, Davide Di Pasquale, and the entire AFG team.

In a world still deeply affected by wars, conflicts, and humanitarian crises, peace cannot merely be a symbol or a message celebrated on one day of the year.

Peace is a responsibility.

It means defending human dignity and fundamental rights, choosing dialogue, and building bridges even when differences seem impossible to overcome.

It is a commitment we must make today for the world we will leave to future generations. The future cannot simply be awaited, it must be built, together.

Peace is perhaps the most precious legacy we can choose to leave behind. It is not merely a word to be celebrated, but a commitment to be lived every day.

My sincere thanks to everyone who helped make this day such a powerful and meaningful occasion, and to all those who entrusted me with guiding an event dedicated to peace, humanity, and hope. 🕊️ by @aliciafall

Notre court métrage est officiellement sélectionné au Reel Sisters of the Diaspora Film Festival & Lecture Series 2026, un FESTIVAL QUALIFIANT pour les OSCARS dans la catégorie des courts métrages de fiction que je remercie sincèrement !

Our short film has been officially selected for the 2026 Reel Sisters of the Diaspora Film Festival & Lecture Series, an OSCAR-QUALIFYING FESTIVAL for narrative short films. My heartfelt thanks to the festival for this selection!

This brings the film’s journey to 21 official selections, 13 awards and 3 honorable mentions. From Montreal to New York, Los Angeles and Miami, and across London, Lisbon, Verona, Paris, Barcelona and Cannes, HOPSCOTCH continues to travel!

JE DÉCIDE QUI JE SUIS.

Dessin préparatoire d'une prochaine œuvre.

Nous grandissons au milieu des jugements, des étiquettes et des mots qui prétendent nous définir. Loser, naze, ridicule, minable… La société distribue ses verdicts et, à force de nous les rabâcher, nous finissons parfois par y croire. Nous intériorisons cette vision grégaire jusqu'à la confondre avec la réalité.
Mais depuis quand l'opinion des autres serait-elle une vérité ?
Ce dessin explore cette frontière entre ce que les autres disent de nous et ce que nous sommes réellement. Il parle de la violence des mots, du poids du regard social et de notre capacité à reprendre le contrôle de notre propre histoire.
Ils écrivent ce que je vaux. Je décide qui je suis.
Il ne s'agit pas d'ignorer toute critique, mais de refuser que les autres définissent notre valeur, notre personnalité ou nos rêves.
La liberté commence peut-être là : lorsque nous cessons de vivre selon les étiquettes normalisées qu'on nous colle, comme des poulets de supermarché, calibrés pour rentrer dans les cases.
Vos mots ne sont pas ma vérité. Mon identité ne vous appartient pas. Celle des autres non plus. Nous ne sommes la propriété de personne.
Ce dessin n'est qu'un point de départ. Une prochaine œuvre prendra forme autour de cette idée : reprendre possession de soi, refuser les cases et rappeler que nous ne sommes pas condamnés à devenir ce que les autres veulent ou pensent que nous devrions être.
Nous ne sommes ni des produits standardisés, ni des personnages écrits par d'autres. Nous avons le droit de penser, de changer, de nous tromper, de bifurquer et de recommencer.
Je ne suis pas ce que vous dites. Je suis ce que je décide de devenir.

Alicia Fall is an award-winning filmmaker, producer, screenwriter and journalist whose career spans television, cinema and cultural storytelling.

With extensive experience in French media and television, Alicia has built a career around powerful stories, meaningful conversations and voices that deserve to be heard.

As a filmmaker, she wrote and directed the autobiographical short film À cloche-pied, exploring childhood and domestic violence through a deeply personal perspective. The film received the Best Biographical Film Award at the New York International Film Awards and gained international recognition.
