Practicing German irl 🇩🇪🗣️

This was in my drafts from a few months back😊 Probably one of my most proud moments at the time. 💛 It’s wild to see how far I have come on my German.

It used to be so scary going out and ordering in German and now I do it without even thinking about it. And everyone is so lovely here and always has so much patience if I stumble on my words. 💕

It was the best decision I ever made!❤️

Long distance is so hard. 💔 You are constantly watching all the happy couples around you that get to be together.

When I decided to move from America to Germany to be with my partner, I was so nervous. And I won’t lie, integration can also be tough. But moving across the world ended up being the best decision I ever made❤️

Every day is such a blessing that we get to be together❤️ And in one month from today, we are getting married☺️

Grammar is definitely my weak point when it comes to learning the German language 🇩🇪

Knowing if it’s Dativ or Akkusativ is one challenge, but before you can even do that, you need to memorize if each word goes with Der, Die, or Das 😭 But it’s all apart of the language journey and I am learning a little more each day with @lingoda_official 💪💜 One day I’ll have it mastered!👩‍🎓

I’m always saying all I can to show them how much I love it here and fit in here 🇩🇪😂

It can be so scary going to my Ausländerbehörde appointments because they have the power to deport me😂

But honestly, they have been really nice in my experience!😊

me, myself, and I 🧍‍♀️🧍‍♀️🧍‍♀️

Note to self: “Gemein😡” and “Gemeinsam👭” are not the same meaning!

Maybe the dumbest post I’ve ever made😂 But it made me laugh 😂 I just learned the word “Gemeinsam” this week and had thought my teacher was calling the group in our story “mean” 😂

This week I had my 🇩🇪 class with @lingoda_official and it ended up being just me and the teacher.📚 We had a wonderful conversation for the hour and at the end of it, I realized I had just spoken German for an entire hour. Of course, I am sure there were little mistakes here and there, but she was able to understand everything I was saying and I could understand everything she was saying. It felt like a huge accomplishment! ☺️

I normally speak only German in the group classes as well, but I don’t say as much. This was an entire hour of back and forth conversation in another language 🥳

As I go out and do more in Germany, my interactions in the German language are becoming increasingly normal to me. Little by little, Germany is becoming a forever home to me. 🥰🏡

not an ad! Just obsessed💙🤍 As an American living in Germany, @bathandbodyworksde now being sold in Deustchland was the best news ever!

My mom always has Bath&BodyWorks candles, soap, wallflowers, and more, in her house. The scents immediately bring me a cozy nostalgic feeling☺️

Their Autumn scents are the perfect way to welcome to season in your home🍂🍁

Tastes so good but hurts so bad😭😭😭 It’s such a guilty pleasure😅

Because I genuinely LOVE how clean the foods are here in Germany🇩🇪 I’m not constantly worried about all the chemicals like I am with the food in the US🇺🇸 But sometimes when I’m feeling a bit nostalgic for my childhood, mac and cheese is just exactly want I want🧀
