I still think it’s wild to me that I can picture my obsession with wanting to be skinny from 10-19 years old. I can picture me thinking red, yellow peppers, with carrots & maybe a bit of yoghurt being “a good enough meal” for nourishment. I was even so proud of myself for skipping many meals. I was stick skinny but that’s not what I saw in the mirror.

Feels good to really LOVE food 😊

My daily nutritional diet clearly doesn’t look like that - I’m very careful with what I put in my body on a 80/20 basis.

Don’t get me wrong, I still want to be skinny - but I want to be strong & prioritize my muscle gains too!

To the country I love the most; Happy National Day 🇧🇭

You gave me 26 beautiful years with my parents & sisters - especially my father.

I wouldn’t be the person I am today if I hadn’t lived here & honestly I couldn’t be more grateful.

Your people are the kindest & warmest I have ever met. & I will never be able to simply say I’m just French when I’m abroad & anyone asks. It is categorically always; I’m originally French but I’m from Bahrain. Probably my favorite statement to make.

The love I have for the country I call home is ever growing. Some may say you have to get out of your comfort zone & leave the country. Absolutely not, I’m thriving here, I’m going well out of my comfort zone too in many aspects. & I tried it when I lived in Switzerland for 4 years & then Dublin for 6months (honestly? It really wasn’t my cup of tea)

Let me know if you like the health tips 🌞

Definitely not the type to follow routines unfortunately 🥺 (they bore me & it would ruin my month/energy). However, I am very good at discipline & mental willpower. & that saves me when it comes to being the healthiest I have ever been 💚

P.S what is neuroplasticity? 🧠
In simple terms; it’s the brain’s ability to rewire itself…

🌬️Why is a micro-habit like using your non dominant hand to brush your teeth neuroplasticity? 🦷
- it creates a break on the “autopilot” mode .. it’s almost awkward & uncoordinated
- Your brain obtains a mini “shock” let’s call it
- It is forced to then break the habitual neural pathway & actively “recruit” new neurons for this “job” to coordinate the unfamiliar muscle movements 💪

💾 It’s basically about overwriting old mental patterns that the brain is so used to .. & neuroplasticity is excellent, as it keeps our brains sharp + flexible.

💻All in all - your brain is not hardwired like a computer.. it can physically change based on what we SEE 🙉 DO🙊 & THINK🐵

Being healthy is about a whole range of components (not just what you eat!) 💛🤌

I worked hard & it worked !!! I DID IT 🙏

I wouldn’t want to scream a massive “hurrah” until it’s been over a year. But this is a very big deal for me. After a 16 year fight - I’ve worked with @drjawaherkadhem @sidrahealing to heal my acne, my eczema & my atopic dermatitis NATURALLY - by getting to the root cause & it is working!!!!! 🧫

I can’t believe I’m saying this but I am loving my facial skin (say MashAllah please, otherwise I might cry if it starts again) 🧖‍♀️

I do love getting my blood work taken at home by @lumahealthapp -it truly is a game changer🩸

@woodtherapy_bahrain_mobilespa is one of my favorite facialists & really helped me too! 💅

I do love heading to @hospitaliabyyara to get my hydrafacials & Dermalux - (men you should hop on this trend too..) it’s excellent to truly cleanse your skin & hydrate it properly in this weather. 💚

This is the calendar life & then people can’t comprehend why I get mad when they are late. My calendar is back to back & that’s how I like it but it can’t function properly if someone is late. 📆

P.S there aren’t great snack options for healthy people. What you can do when you’re on the go - a banana, & a Nada 30gr Protein drinking great Yoghurt (good ingredients as long as you don’t go for the flavored option & very high in protein). Pick up a bag of raw nuts if you can (unsalted as most salted versions aren’t very healthy). 🥛🌰🍌

@earlyriser.bh - an absolute gem of a run club (why do they get the gem award? Their snacks are refined sugar free, preservative free & they’re just DELICIOUS) 🤤

How did the day go? 1. Run 🏃‍♀️ 2. Swim 🏊‍♀️ 3. Visit 🐶 ; pick up laundry 4. Photoshoot 1 📸 5. Tutor a student 6. Rush to photoshoot 2 🎥

It always amazes me when people think I don’t work 😂😂😂

@orgabeautysalon 📍 Janabiya, Villagio. Great quality salon, loved the shaping of my nails 💅, & the fact that the hair masks are natural & organic!!! Felt silk smooth too after the Moroccan bath 🛁

Today was a bit much to be fair - by the end of the day I was absolutely mentally/socially drained. I literally was getting irritated left, right & center - best not to be around or on calls with people so I politely hung up my long call 📞. Energy at an all time high (as per usual)- bizarrely enough, I actually wanted to go running at 11pm 🌻🫠 taken in Bahrain by @aliemariot

What a day, thank you @bahrainroadrunners for the brilliant organisation! 🌞

I’ll be joining @bahrain.warriors for the season & I can’t wait! 🏃‍♀️

4:39km/h - might have been a small 3km race but it’s a great start to the season. 2nd women age category 19-29. 5th women out of 88 overall. 111/443 in total participants 🥈

Huge congrats to @moemarian & @tahani___2t - love seeing you both on the race track as always 🫶
