This year has been a push for more shows, more (intentional!) time with friends, more filling the space outside of working hours with things that bring me joy. Some days (and weekends) are more successful than others, and this one was absolutely one of them. by @alienantidote

Tested out my new (to me) 50mm lens with a Disney day. I rarely change up my lens when shooting, but this one is solid for some outdoor, daytime shots 👌🏻 by @alienantidote

It was probably the weather (hot, sunny, kinda humid for CA standards), but the crowds were minimal for a Saturday at Disney. It does always feel weird to see the parks completely decked out for Halloween in August, when sunscreen and sunglasses are still an absolute must. by @alienantidote

I have so much to say about the importance of friendship. I'm far too nostalgic for my own good. I hope you all have friendships/relationships that transcend decades and state lines and time zones. I hope you have your people who've seen you through your various evolutions, through life and love and grief and loss and all your messy in-betweens. Making (and keeping) friends is hard, y'all. Keep in touch, make plans, hug your friends, tell them you love them. by @alienantidote

Walking into Warped feels like coming home in a way. There were so many years where it felt like summer never really arrived until Warped rolled through. Over the years, I've attended, I've worked, I've volunteered, I've shot photos. I've collected tshirts, flyers, and the occasional sunburn. Warped brought me new bands, new friends, and a couple really cool internships. This new iteration of Warped isn't quite the same, but it's still got so much of the DNA of the punk rock summer camp we know and love. My ears are still ringing and my body is definitely exhausted from two festival weekends in a row, but my heart is feeling very full. by @alienantidote

What a wild whirlwind of a weekend with the @drinkmolten crew at Inkcarceration: Canadian wildfire smoke, pouring rain during Papa Roach, code red weather and sheltering in the reformatory chapel, watching The Used at sunset after weather delays/cancellations, closing down Applebee's on Saturday night after running on adrenaline fumes for two days straight. I'm exhausted but fulfilled and ready to sleep in my own bed tonight. by @alienantidote

Attending/working a music/tattoo festival on the grounds of the reformatory where The Shawshank Redemption was filmed is definitely one of my more unique live music experiences I've had. taken in The Ohio State Reformatory by @alienantidote

Putting that NV resident discount to use and finally scoping out the @atomicmuseum ⚛️. I'm super curious about the Atomic Testing Site tours, but apparently they're not happening for the foreseeable future (supposedly due to funding uncertainty). taken in Atomic Museum by @alienantidote

Happy 1 year of Zzyzx - our lil pocket pitbull/staffie. Her favorite thing is still snoozing (ideally on or directly next to a human) and she still doesn't care about toys in the slightest. She doesn't really bark, but she loves to talk when we come home or if it's time for food/snacks. Thanks for this lil goof of a pup @hendersonanimalshelternv 🐾💖 by @alienantidote

It's been go-go-go for a couple of months now. Grateful for every trip home back to California - some busy (last trip), some quiet (this trip). Now more than ready to settle back into some slower-paced time in the desert for a bit 🌵☀️ by @alienantidote
