WELCOME to our Alienated Studio!

We have our own studio in Tilburg West, just a 5-minute bike ride from Station Tilburg University. It offers:
- A cozy space of 8m by 6m, totaling around 50 m2.
- Wooden dance floor
- Music box (connect via Bluetooth)
- Microwave
- Watercooker with coffee and tea

The studio is part of a communal building with other artists who are renovating the whole space. So, we’re still making improvements, but all the necessary facilities are already there.

We want it to be a place where artists can experiment without worrying about money. That’s why our rental prices are very low compared to other studios in Tilburg. If you’re interested in renting the space, feel free to email us at info@alienated-performanceart.com.

Jazz intensive recap!
Last weekend we had our very first intensive and we had a blast!! A full studio with many jazz lovers from all over the Netherlands. It was great to have @itsalexfrei from Germany sharing his Horton and Fosse style knowledge with us. And we closed both days with some jazz technique and energetic choreo’s by the lovely @taramasimer

Thanks everyone for joining and we can’t wait for the next edition!

That’s it!
Last week we had our very last weekly class. We are very sad that we are not able to continue with them as we feel it was something special and something Tilburg needed. However, with the small amount of people joining we had to make the decision to stop with the classes.

We want to thank all the people who supported us the past 2,5 years by showing up and being there! Especially a shout out to Clara and Anne who supported us for a long time and joined whenever they could.

We also want to say thanks to all the teacher who were flexible and understanding. As a starting initiative we couldn’t always afford the right fees or had to cancel last minute. So thank you for supporting us as well.

And lastly, a thank you to our partners @DansBrabant, @jelenakosticdance and @factoriumcultuurmakers without your support and studio space we were not able to provide this training for all the dancers.

We are proud we tried it and made a change. From now on we focus on workshops to keep the community in Tilburg alive. Let’s look back at the classes one more time in this last recap!

Thank you!

We finish our days off with some Taratime!

Tara’s unique jazz style, “TaraTime” inspires individual expression and powerful movement through a blend of technique and artistry. Each workshop incorporates a dynamic warm-up, skill-building exercises, and an expressive movement phrase, emphasizing the connection between body, mind, spirit, music, and performance. Dancers are encouraged to explore identity, creativity, and personal artistry while discovering new dimensions of their movement.
