This "Storm Cycle" edit lives rent free in my mind. From my 10 years at @mthoodmeadows this one has always been a standout. Shot in January of 2017, we experienced all-time conditions. This was my first year shooting with a camera that allowed me to start shooting the way I saw things in my head. It was also right around this time that I got swept downhill by a slide that took me under twice before leaving me half buried with my head and arms on top but the new camera was ripped out of my hands. Thanks to the help of my friends, we were able to dig the camera out intact. Not a day goes by where I don't think about days like this, charging untouched faces with my friends and capturing beauty in motion on the mountain. I'm very thankful to God for a decade on Hood, and for where I am now with family, but I'm looking forward to a season where we get to return.
