As a designer, the goal is always to create spaces that feel unique, without sacrificing function.
These are a few of the thoughtful details we integrated into this home to make it both beautiful and livable.

Project Midhurst, Ontario.

Align Designs main floor renovation on this home was a beautiful transformation.

Modern elegance meets bold sophistication in this stunning kitchen and dining space.

We used sleek and matted black cabinetry paired with warm white oak floors, this design perfectly balances contrast and warmth. We chose this show-stopping custom range hood, with its striking white finish, elegant curves and white oak accent, serving as a statement piece, adding dimension and architectural beauty to the space.

The waterfall marble island with a secondary island for extra seating made this space perfect for entertaining. The black pendant lighting and brass fixtures enhance the refined aesthetic. And a seamlessly integrated bar area along with expansive windows complete this inviting and elevated design.

What if the energy you’re bringing into your relationships actually starts at home?

I asked @StephanSpeaks for his opinion on how he believes our homes, workplaces and everyday environments affect us emotionally and ultimately our connection with other people in our lives.

His answer came with a very personal example.

When Stephan lived in Miami, he intentionally wanted his home to feel positive and energizing. Later, while temporarily living in a dark basement surrounded by grey and white walls and imagery that didn’t uplift him, he remembers feeling depressed and only in hindsight recognizing how much his environment may have been affecting him.

That’s something I think we underestimate.

**We don’t just live in our environments. We experience them.**

The light.
The colour.
The clutter.
The functionality.
The objects we surround ourselves with.
The memories attached to a space.

All of it can influence how we feel when we wake up, how we decompress at the end of the day, and the energy we bring into our relationships and families.

As Stephan says, sometimes we need to take inventory of what we expose ourselves to every day and ask:

**Does this give me positive energy or negative energy?**

And if your answer is negative, maybe it’s time to change something.

Your home shouldn’t just look good. It should support how you want to **feel, live and connect.**

If your space no longer feels aligned with the life you’re creating, visit **AlignDesign.co** to learn more about working with Breanna.

Designers are for the details.

Light Pewter fluted paneling, layered lighting, warm brushed gold and soft neutral cabinetry; a simple combination that adds texture and interest without overwhelming the space.

Great projects are built through great collaboration.

Building strong relationships across the industry allows us to bring different areas of expertise together and give our clients more support throughout the process.

Our collaboration with the team at Kitchen Land brings together their industry expertise and project execution with the interior design expertise of Align Design Co., creating a more connected experience from the bigger picture down to the details.

When everyone is working toward the same vision, there are fewer moving parts for the client to navigate and more confidence throughout the process!

Before you start making decisions about your space, there are a few things worth thinking through first.

From how you actually use the space, to what isn’t working, what you’re drawn to, and where you want to prioritize your investment, getting clear on these things early can make the entire design process feel a lot more intentional.

I put together Align Before You Design, a free guide covering 10 things worth considering before making decisions about your space.

Residential + commercial guides available.

Download the free guide through the link in our bio.

We love a good wall tile.
Texture, movement and just enough warmth to make an all-neutral bathroom feel anything but flat.

I think there’s something really fascinating about the energy we create in a space through design. That’s why I wrote this article exploring the psychology behind how our spaces affect us.
