Summer 2026 ::: New Orleans Part 1

Our real time reaction to landing back where the climate feels like a wet hug and the people are warm and vibrant. Coming home to New Orleans after being away for 10 months essss raw emotion baby, every time.

This time felt slightly different >>>> up north it was often cold, quiet, nice but distant. Seemingly disconnected from a full range of culture, music, rich food or art. The stillness was sanctuary for a reset, but for a soul that thrives in the depths, long hugs, streets that sing, a world in color, it felt so good to be back down south.

My inspiration comes alive when experiencing contrast. Traveling gives you more than experience and good stories, but also new perspective and often deep appreciation.

Do you know what it means to miss New Orleans?? 💞✨🥲🥰 by @align_withlani

Summer 2026 on San Juan Island ::: Part 2

“I am sanding a boat. I am painting a boat. I am washing a boat.” The life pivot experiment took us to a place and doing a job that I couldn’t believe. And what I learned about myself was the highest form of payment.

Summer 2026 on San Juan Island ::: Part 1

We often find ourselves on remote islands, this summer was no exception. Like a step back in time to small town America meets an untouched wild sanctuary with whispering winds. With new friends, old friends, breathtaking coastlines, eagles, deers, oysters, biking for days and cold water swimming.

In part 2, I’ll give you a peak into traveling on ‘May the forth be with you’ across two countries, on a good word, to our life pivot experiment…

Im no gatekeeper baby, there is a process when you go for the dream or bigger vision and don’t give up.

Sometimes we are flowing surfing the waves, sometimes we are free falling to our assumed death, sometimes we are a useless pile of mush… none of it last forever.

This is a tiny peak into my process.

Sunday riding >>> I said “oooo look how cool our shadow is from here”

I shut the door and walked away. Only when I looked back was I able to see the veil caressing the edges of our illuminated pathway, slowly teasing me forward, gently guiding our evolution. Revealed through the portal are the stories past, steady stones present and placed in plain sight for the next step into our future 📸 👣 🌬️ by @align_withlani

LOST 🌎

Where the sun is shinning
Beach dogs are sweet
Boys run wild
& dancing jungle beats

Friends from far away places
Gather and meet
Celebration at every corner
Plentiful rum & treats

Where the days are long
And the livin is easy
Chaos present, ocean deep
Presence, presents

Choose peace ✌🏽 by @align_withlani

I believe we can learn a lot about a people, what is valued, the times and culture through the way death and souls afterlife are honored. by @align_withlani

I thought, “What would be the MOST fun way to travel to the Olympic Pennisula for the @remembrancegathering with my son!?!” When I found I two train tickets @amtrak for $499 each that included 10 legs in and around the United States we had 30 days to complete, we were all aboard and our 30 day pilgrimage pretty much created itself.

Pictured above is Day 1 of our adventure into the unknown, departing from The Big Easy. I love seeing these photos, we look so fresh and light in the beginning of our journey. Little did we know just how much growth was in store for us in the months to come… by @align_withlani

I didn’t know in August this would be considered my very last Reiki attunement on the land in New Orleans, properly known as Bvlbancha by the indigenous peoples, with my very special sister @keely.hall. What an honor to close a chapter in my book with you and feeling so completely wild & free.

I threw out the rule book and took Keely into the wild, as wild as you get in the middle of a big little city. It rained, we danced, got muddy, made offerings, shared story, reconnected with our inner child & enjoyed a full day Reiki immersion together.
