Today, I am officially 39 weeks pregnant. šŸ¤

As I sit here on my birthing ball, gently stretching my body and preparing for my daughter’s birth, I can’t help but reflect on everything it has taken to arrive at this moment.

This pregnancy has asked me to trust myself more deeply, listen closely to my body, advocate for what feels right, and remain grounded through moments of uncertainty. I have worked incredibly hard to protect my peace, care for my health, nourish my baby, and create the safest and most loving environment possible for her to grow.

I am so proud of my body. I am proud of the way I continued showing up, even on the exhausting days. I am proud of the strength, patience, wisdom, and faith this journey has brought out of me.

Reaching 39 weeks with a healthy, thriving baby feels like such a beautiful blessing and accomplishment. I do not take a single moment of it for granted.

Now, we are patiently waiting for her to choose her birthday. Until then, I will keep breathing, stretching, resting, trusting, and soaking in these final moments of carrying her beneath my heart.

We made it this far, sweet girl. Whenever you are ready, Mommy is ready to meet you. 🌹

There are moments when someone from your past walks back into your life… not because they’re meant to stay, but because they’re meant to remind you why you walked away.

Sometimes those encounters become a mirror. Not of who you are today, but of where you once were. They remind you what didn’t feel safe, what wasn’t healthy, and why choosing yourself was necessary.

My ex-husband and I spoke for the first time in eight years. The conversation didn’t bring the closure I once thought it might. Instead, it gave me something far more valuable: perspective.

It reminded me that time alone doesn’t create growth. Healing requires humility, self-reflection, accountability, and the willingness to face our own pain instead of letting it define us.

Over these last eight years, I have worked tirelessly on myself from the inside out. While I may not have every outward symbol of success the world likes to measure, my soul knows the work I’ve done. I’ve fought for my peace. I’ve strengthened my faith. I’ve learned healthier patterns. I’ve broken cycles I never want my children to inherit.

I believe healing isn’t measured by what you own, it’s measured by who you’ve become.

Today, I’m a mother to almost three beautiful daughters whose eyes, ears, hearts, and minds are watching how I respond to life’s hardest moments. That responsibility means more to me than any title, paycheck, or possession ever could.

I don’t believe God entrusted these precious girls to me by accident. He knew the woman I was becoming long before I did. Every challenge has refined me, every heartbreak has taught me, and every step forward has drawn me closer to the woman He created me to be.

The healing isn’t finished and that’s okay. Growth is a lifelong journey.

Today, I’m simply grateful that I no longer measure my life by where I’ve been. I measure it by who I’m becoming.

Sometimes the greatest gift someone from your past can give you is the realization that you’ve finally outgrown the place where they still remain. šŸ¤

To the women trying to keep moving forward while carrying more than people realize… I’m right there with you. šŸ¤

Lately, some days have been tough. My patience runs thin, things go unfinished, and I go to bed thinking about everything I wish I’d handled better. I can love this life and still feel overwhelmed by it. I’m learning to give myself grace for both.

But the next morning comes, and I’m reminded that God gives us another chance. To take a breath. To apologize. To try again with a little more patience and a little less judgment toward ourselves.

Yesterday doesn’t have to decide how we show up today.

Moving forward sometimes looks like making one better choice, asking for help, or getting up when you’d rather hide under the covers. That counts, too.

So girl, whatever yesterday looked like, don’t let it convince you that you aren’t growing. You can be a work in progress and still be damn proud of the woman you’re becoming.

Thank You, God, for fresh mornings and the grace to begin again. šŸ¤

So far, the best part of being single is knowing that the decisions I’m making are genuinely building a better life for me and my girls.

I’m strengthening friendships, creating memories with unexpected new people, making mom friends, and building a village one beautiful friendship at a time. And honestly, I’m damn proud of myself for getting back out there and becoming social again.

Over the past six years, I carried this deep knowing in my heart and gut that I wasn’t truly allowed to have friendships or good people around me, especially if they took any attention away from my relationship. But choosing to move forward was the healthiest decision I could make for myself, my girls, and even my former partner.

For the last seven months, I’ve been growing a human while healing, evolving, and becoming a stronger version of myself. This unexpected journey into single motherhood has brought joy, fear, love, sadness, grief, and some incredibly powerful realizations.

The greatest one is this: it truly does take a village. We were never meant to carry everything alone.

I’m learning to remove what is toxic so I can protect my peace and pour my energy into the beautiful world I’ve worked so hard to create. And I’m incredibly grateful for every friendship God continues to place in the lives of me and my girls.

One friendship at a time, our village is growing. šŸ¤ taken in United States of America by @alignedjulia

There were times I’d put $10 worth of gas in my tank and other times $50. I’ve had $5 to just feed myself and I’ve had $200 to go out to eat. I’ve had a house full of food and I didn’t have any. I’ve been in stores cashing out with no worries and I’ve also had to add it up and put things back on the shelf. I’ve paid my bills in full and I’ve had to pay them late too. I’ve given money and I too have had to ask for it.

We all have highs and lows in life. Some certainly more than others, but we are all just trying to make it.

No one is better than anyone else and my heart is sad for those people who think that they are. No matter how big your house is, how new your car is, or how much money sits in your bank account - we all bleed red and will eventually fade from this earth. Death has no discrimination and neither should your life.

Be kind to others. We are all here to serve. Stop the power tripping. Your oversized ego won’t get you anywhere.

Be humble and keep faith going.

Very few will actually read this far but if you’re genuine I challenge you to copy/paste with a picture of yourself. Most won’t, but that’s okay. Share the love and be kind!

At 39, I’m learning to romanticize my own life. My own becoming. My relationship with myself.

For so many years, I looked outside of myself for validation, to feel chosen, wanted, loved. Somewhere along the way, I realized the deepest love I will ever build is the one I have with myself.

I love myself differently now. More deeply. More protectively.
With that love has come a level of self-respect I didn’t always have.

My boundaries are no longer suggestions.
No means no.
Disrespect doesn’t get unlimited access to me.
And I will not abandon myself just to make someone else comfortable.

It doesn’t matter who you are. When I set a boundary, I mean it.

And maybe one of the most beautiful parts of this chapter is knowing my girls are watching me learn all of this too. I’m teaching them what self-respect looks like while, in many ways, learning it for the first time myself.

That’s how cycles break.

Not by being perfect, but by becoming conscious enough to choose differently.

So yes… I’m romanticizing myself these days. šŸ¤

Heading into 3 weeks postpartum… and I’m learning to look at my body differently.

Yes, it’s shrinking, but it’s also soft, tired, and unfamiliar. Some days I look in the mirror and barely recognize the woman staring back at me. I see exhaustion, overwhelm, and a body that doesn’t look like it did before pregnancy.

But then I remember what this body just did.

For nine months, it created, carried, protected, and nourished life. And even now, it’s still working—healing, producing milk, and becoming a soft place for my baby to feel safe in a brand-new world.

Postpartum has been extremely difficult for me in the past, and I believe a lot of that came from not having the support I truly needed. This time, even though I’m walking much of this journey on my own, I’m learning to give myself that support.

Grace instead of pressure.
Love instead of criticism.
Patience instead of rushing to ā€œget my body back.ā€

There will be a time to rebuild, strengthen, and step into the next version of me. But right now, I’m healing, nourishing, mothering, and adjusting.

God gave me this vessel to create life, and for now, I’m choosing to honor it.

This body doesn’t need my judgment right now. It needs my tenderness. šŸ¤ taken in United States of America by @alignedjulia

Carrying my daughter has reminded me of something I wish I had learned years ago:

Peace is not a luxury—it’s a requirement.

For almost 20 years, I built relationships around fixing, understanding, waiting, and hoping someone would become who I thought they had the potential to be.

Today, I build my life around something different.

My daughters deserve a mother whose nervous system is calm.
I deserve a love that adds to that peace, not one that asks me to earn it.

The cycle ends with me.

The men who couldn’t protect my peace taught me exactly what I will never accept again.

Thirty-nine weeks.

I didn’t do a maternity photoshoot this pregnancy, but tonight I realized… maybe I don’t need one.

Instead, I want to remember these quiet moments exactly as they are.

Every evening, after my girls are asleep, I spend a little time on my birthing ball, stretching, breathing, talking to my daughter and simply appreciating the miracle my body has carried for the last nine months.

This is my third pregnancy and very likely my last.

I know so many of us reach this stage feeling swollen, exhausted, and joking that we feel like a ā€œbig fat cow.ā€ I have those moments too. But, when I look past the discomfort, I see something so much greater.
I see strength.
I see sacrifice.

I see a body that has created, nurtured and protected another life for thirty-nine beautiful weeks.

So instead of waiting for the ā€œperfectā€ maternity photos, I’m choosing to document the real ones…the quiet nights, the messy hair, the oversized T-shirt, the birthing ball and the woman becoming a mother all over again.

One day, I’ll look back at these photos and remember not how I looked… but how deeply I loved her before I ever held her.

Here’s to honoring every season, every stretch mark, every kick, every ache and every miracle.

Soon, sweet girl… we’ll finally meet. šŸ¤
