It’s that day again! 33 or 34?! Years ago I hung out with this guy. He was wickedly witty, listened to punk rock music, and played and sang Beatles songs. Now he’s my husband, and he is just as witty, still listens to punk rock music, and sings and plays me Beatles songs. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my husband. Today our big beautiful Loki said goodbye. He was with us for 6 1/2 years, and although he drove me bonkers sometimes, I wish he could have stuck around for another lifetime. He had the most beautiful face, he was the most loving and the most stubborn, and I’m not sure I’ll ever quite get over him not being around. So for now, enjoy these beautiful photos of him, I know we will continue to look through these and many more. by @alijade99

Last weekend, we had the honor of attending the dedication of the Homeward Bound veterans retreat in the Adirondacks, honoring SGT. Carlton Clark, who was killed in action while serving in Iraq.

Seeing my husband reunited with the men he served alongside was incredibly moving. We were also honored to meet and spend time with his beautiful parents and sisters. It was a powerful reminder that not everyone made it home.

I am forever grateful that he did, and so incredibly proud to call him my husband. Never forget those who gave everything for our freedom. by @alijade99

I came home from a long day at work to this beautiful dish made especially for me by my sweetheart of a daughter. It was better than anything I’ve ever ordered in a restaurant! Ahi tuna seared to perfection in everything bagel seasoning, homemade carrot slaw, avacodo on sticky rice. I’m the luckiest and we got to eat outside on the patio together in this beautiful weather. Boston with my husband ❤️ We walked the Freedom Trail, toured Paul Revere’s house, saw the Tall Ships, admired beautiful churches and cemeteries, and ate enough clam chowder and lobster rolls to qualify as locals. 😂⚓🦞
