Donut Mess with Cleveland!!! And Go Guards!

This is a blind double exposure on film 🎞️! I used part of an image from my @morganharpernichols calendar and a place we all love (even if this Celiac girl can’t eat there 😆) - @brewnuts! Even though I attempted to line up the film strip I didn’t so putting both here to see both sides.

We are a group of @clickprophotographers who come together to share the love of the cities we live in. Capturing the beauty, changes, sounds, colours and scenes of the cities we currently feel at home in or visit.

I highly recommend taking time to play with your kids during your family session - it can be at a playground like this, or at home, anywhere. Have a dance party. Play tag. Tickle them. Swing them around. My family sessions are meant to be joyful and fun for everyone, and when you’re looking back at your photos isn’t that what you’ll want to see anyway?

The first day of October feels right to share this image… my kid made a giant spider web in his bedroom last month with all the tape he could get his hands on! We managed to leave it up for a few days (with even more tape added over time) - which was harder than you’d think.

S E P T E M B E R

First of all, I hope you have your sound on. Secondly, I couldn’t find this actual song from this album on IG, so this is a live version, but I really wanted this song off the album playing. When I listen to this album - ‘So Far’ by Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young I think of songs I heard in our home growing up but I really think of walking around campus at Ohio University. I played this so much my freshman year (especially in the fall) through my headphones. And it just feels so much like Athens to me. 💚

Welcome to @the.artists.collab; a group of artists dedicated to community, intention, and creativity. This month’s artist is Hannah Höch. She saw the power of art to reflect society back to itself, she saw the power it has to question society, and she saw the power it has to make societal changes.

I feel like I kind of cheated a little (I know I still created so not really too) because I made this digitally and not by cutting things out and using my hands in that way, but I wanted to make something nonetheless and it’s been a busy month. The quote I have in my stories at the moment explains it simply:

“As a woman existing right now, I cannot describe the depths of my rage.”

I am typically a very optimistic person, full of hope, and I still am, am my work typically shows that… but we all know we can be many things at once. I am outraged as well.

Seattle, you were so much fun!!!! We did A LOT and still not everything we wanted to do! You’ve got a lot to offer. Shoutout to my man @jbohnenkamp for totally surprising me with this trip for my 40th birthday. It was the best time getting to hang with @emstretar (who planned an incredible itinerary) and Frank and also getting to see my photography friends @leahbphotos @alimvrbas and @kris_tina_mac for a bit too!!! What a beautiful and very cool place!

Also I have worked on this video a lot and strongly feel that Edits should let you keep the music with it even if it’s longer. I had to shorten it more than once! 😆 taken in Seattle, Washington by @alimobo
