I’d always told myself I’d never go to Italy unless it was with my person. Turns out @alimomen had always told himself the same thing. So of course, it was the obvious choice for our honeymoon 🥰 Tuscany was the perfect start — slow mornings, delicious wine, and God’s country in every direction. My Baby Birthday Boy Rumi 🎂 What to say? 10 years ago you entered my soul. Shifted it. Shaped it. When I first got you I said to myself, you know, if I could have you for a decade then I’d be content. Like we’d have accomplished something. But no, I will never have enough time with you. And now that you’re 10, every day with you has more depth and meaning. It’s all wider. But this is all me. My constructs. Humans, you know? But you were always…just there. With me. Constant. Present. Only focused on now. Your face. That face. When you say to me, “just be here with me, Dad. Let’s go get mother and brudder and have an adventure. Maybe grandma and grandpa and my aunties and uncle can come too. Isn’t life amazing as long as we’re together?” It really really is. Here’s to another decade my best boy. by @alimomen

Ali’s opening night for ‘It’s A Good Life If You Don’t Weaken’ was so special, and it demanded a special ’fit for the leading man and his biggest Stan (me). We knew it had to be our new jean jackets made by Ugandan designer @zachariah_lubega, who I started following on here recently.Zachariah sources second-hand denim and materials from local thrift stores and reworks them into one-of-a-kind pieces - made to help preserve this beautiful planet of ours. I looove me a good jacket, and I knew I had to add a @zachariah_lubega to my collection.Luckily, my wonderful colleague Stephen happened to be in Uganda at the time. I asked him if he could find Zachariah’s shop before heading home - turns out it was right behind his hotel!We got sooo many compliments all night, and everyone wanted to know where they could get one for themselves. Now you know - go give @zachariah_lubega a follow and support a brilliant designer doing beautiful work. 💛🇺🇬 by @alimomen

Just over a month ago I embarked on what would become my most creatively fulfilling experience ever on stage. A group of people, divinely assembled, got together to make magic. There are so many people to mention:@mrubinoff you did it. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing would have happened if you didn’t have the vision and relentless drive to see it come alive. @maryfrancismoore, you are a world class director and leader. In nobody else’s hands should this be in. You own the spaces you walk into and allow us to our best work. @kimelman that you can make me look like a dancer is a feat on its own but you have weaved together movement that like the music of The Hip has layers upon layers. You are a poet of the body. Ahmed and Jesse. You two were made for each other and made to bring this show to life. Your lives and heart are on these pages. It is the easiest show to ride. This cast. Wow. Like a glove we all are. A perfect fit. Thank you for elevating me and teaching me so much as I watch and inhale your presence. Talia, thank you, especially, for being there with me on this journey. You anchor Waleed. To @thetragicallyhip, at first we were doing a show with your music, and now we are making a show with the best composer and lyricist of all time. Thank you and to @jake0458 for letting us paint with your incredible palette. The band!!! Wow. World class musicians led by the great @bobfoster231 and special love to @revmusic_ and Levon To my family, you are with me every single second on this stage.
